Where is the Ruined Factory in Death Stranding Director's Cut? How do you access the Ruined Factory and play the new missions? A new addition in Death Stranding Director's Cut is a location called the Ruined Factory, and it comes complete with a couple of brand new missions to play. As part of our Death Stranding guide, we're going to explain where the Ruined Factory is and how to unlock it.
Death Stranding Director's Cut: How to Access the Ruined Factory
Follow the below instructions to find out how to access the Ruined Factory and play its new missions in Death Stranding Director's Cut.
Reach the Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City in Chapter 2: Amelie
In Chapter 2: Amelie, you will get to a location called Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City. After fulfilling Order No. 7 and Order No. 8, you will unlock Order No. 77. This mission is the first one that will take you to the Ruined Factory.
Reach the Ruined Factory and Complete Order No. 77
Accept Order No. 77 and head over to the Ruined Factory's location. The Ruined Factory is very close to the Ludens Fan's shelter, just over half a kilometre to the north east. It'll be visible on the in-game map, up the mountain from where you find Ludens Fan.
Be careful when approaching the Ruined Factory! The outside is guarded by MULEs, so you'll either have to sneak past them or knock them out to get inside. Until you complete Order No. 77, you will not be able to enter the facility itself, so get this mission done.
Take on Order No. 78
Order No. 78 — Stealthy Collection: Data from the Ruined Factory Interior is your first mission inside the Ruined Factory. You know where it is now, so head back up there and get your stealth on.
Once this mission is complete, you'll eventually unlock more missions in the Ruined Factory. Depending on your level of progress in the main game, you might need to continue the story before more appear. But hey, now you know where they are.
That's how to access the Ruined Factory in Death Stranding Director's Cut. Are you enjoying these stealthy, MGS-inspired missions? Tell us in the comments section below, and check out our Death Stranding guide for lots more on the game.
