Basically a thread to share your thoughts/memories of the greats and not so greats of PSone from the big franchises to the more obscure, personally the first games that come to mind are FF7, MGS, RE2, Tekken 3 and quite a few ports of some PC greats like Command & conquer, Theme Hospital, Populous the Beginning and Civ 2, even more than the games the image I most associate with PSone is the tech demo T-rex and Manta, also had a nice start up sound and logo too.
The Psone era also saw some popular genres of old lose significance as 3D became the standard, such as side scrolling beat em ups similar to SoR or Golden Axe which I quite missed, also got some pretty bizarre games some good some bad, Creatures was an odd one to say the least, you get 2 alien creatures then breed them, and then breed their offspring until you populate a few planets with your inbred flock, all I can remember them doing is giggling, kicking beach balls around, occasionally getting poisoned and well breeding again.
If I have any nostalgia about the Playstation you can come and punch me in the face, as I've only now after getting a PS3 really been able to get into it.
But FINAL FANTASY VII is cool. And so is Metal Gear Solid. And Suikoden.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I never owned a PS1 as I had an N64 and was just a kid who only got one console at a time, but a lot of my mates did. We used to play Worms so much, like game afte game after game. Then we also played twisted metal and later Tekken 2 and Gran Turismo. Ahh great sleepovers. But I'm still glad I opted for the N64 for for myself... Just.
