Reminds me of Jewel Man from Mega Man 9. He does the same thing (quite literally).

Done some digging and yes indeed, Crash on Switch wont let you change wjth wireless controller you are using, nor does it let you switch from docked to handheld mode without a reboot unless you were using the Joy-Con when docked.

Wonder why Nintendo didnt catch that.

@Knuckles-Fajita lol I just don't think people have much to say about the control scheme on Crash for Switch. Haven't actually seen anyone else here say they even got it, to be honest.

@Feena you're welcome 😂 I still can't see anything other than a man pleasuring a giraffe in the RE6 logo, either.

@kyleforrester87 Well its not about the control scheme, rather not supporting basic Switch functionality, which is an issue I put on Nintendo as their certification process is designed to catch these things.

@kyleforrester87 I'd say the fact you can't do the principle marketed function of the system with anything other than the default controller is a problem that extends beyond "Life".

Then again, I also paid for what is the worst way to experience the original Crash trilogy so in that regard I guess I made my bed.

To be honest, if Resi 6 was about Giraffe man love, it probably would have made it more interesting.

@Ralizah ah the only other one that comes to mind is the "pick up" icon on MGS5 looks like a man sitting on a toilet. A small one but I never could unsee that as I played!

@Kidfried Most fans, like moi, did already play Crash on PS4 because yes, it's where the brand is most associated. However, I had a curiosity in the only portable option on the market, because that at least offers something new unlike Xbox One/PC (Unless you count mods I suppose, but thats not inherent to the game itself.)

I can understand not caring about the console that much, but a major release on the system has issues with the core functionality of the console. Regardless of what site it is, I think that is worth bringing up on the Nintendo Switch thread ya know?

I can only HOPE it gets patched though. But given how it took a year for fixes to come to the PS4 version....lets not get hopeful? I do want to pin some of the blame on Nintendo because their certification process SHOULD catch these issues.

@Kidfried Hollow Knight has done exceptionally well on Switch. I also see a lot of people talking about Ys VIII too. Like a spotlight has been cast.

A port seems likely from Team Cherry, though they just made 250k sales in two weeks...

I was curious about the port due to being high profile, and it being a franchise suited to Switch (I hear the Switch version got the most shipments for instance) so I expect Crash will do well.

I dont get some of the cutbacks though. 480p undocked, 720p docked, and they completely remove reflective surfaces. Like the windows in future levels are now just flat textures.

It feels uncessary.

Anyone else notice some input lag playing Hollow Knight docked? Playing it for the first time undocked tonight and it seems a lot quicker.

Games class, though.

@KratosMD yeah, pretty sure it is. The same was happening to me but I've got used to it and can compensate now. Try undocked though, it's a lot better. Bit worried about going back to the TV now lol. Hope they can patch it :/

While Ys VIII is a bit rough around the edges, I haven't been this engrossed in a game since I played BotW back in February. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Switch games, and at this point is my favorite release of 2018.

I've really been needing a great JRPG since playing Xenoblade 2 back in December, and while Atelier was a bit of a letdown, Ys is scratching that itch perfectly so far.
