As for your bloodborne comment. It's not completely true. Yes they are tough but doable. Other than Sekiro I don't think any of them are as hard as Alex the kidd in miracle world on the master system.

For retail price you get a long challenging game, great atmosphere and mechanics. As you spend so long acutely learning strategies to overcome the next challenge, you grow attached to the game.

Strangely I personally dislike soulsborne games. Drawn out boss fights have always caused me anxiety, that one mistake causing 25 minutes of lost progression. With each death, my annoyance and frustration grows. I don't hate the games per say. The reward just isn't worth the investment.

@QualityGeezer that's not all we can offer up? In fact if you look much ealier in the threads we have seen and waved goodbye to numerous releases I would personally vote better than the Witcher 3. It not the quality Geezer best games of all time is it? If you really want, list your top 4 games in a new thread and buzz off yourself.

And as for saying MGS 3 and Bloodborne don't represent gaming, I am lost for words. MSG 3 subsistence is fantastic. Looking across some old reviews, straddling 9-10/10 galore. You can't get that same experience in any other medium. Has it aged? Yes of course, it's cumbersome at times and the long codex chats are too long. But it's a seminal game in a legendary series.

If you don't like it, that's absolutely fine. But it's similar to me saying witcher 3 is appalling as I bounced off it. When I know its not, its just not for me.
