What about this idea? A Vita's driver for PC fully DX11 compatible plus extensions for its cameras, micro, touch panels, and then specific patches for existing and future games.
I am a PC gamer too and not really. It would be another reason to pick one up but not THE reason to pick one up. Plus, most PC gamers like the mouse/keyboard set up, at least with FPS' I couldn't see anyone choosing to play with the Vita as a controller.
Cross play is not only about using Vita as controller, you would have some specific new features of the game running on the Vita itself. At the end it is basically what the combo PS3/Vita will be able to do.
Yeah, I was just saying that I can't see any new features being enough for PC gamers to give up the method they're so used to. The games that would actually take advantage of this feature would be small download-only games which the PS3 can handle easily. I don't see any reason why Sony should expand this feature to non-Sony products.
Skyrim type games might take advante of that as well, map, magic, items on the Vita, voice commands through the vita as well. For games like that you dont need the precission provided by a mouse, which I understand is a big advantage for raw FPSs.
Yeah, I agree, that would be nice. However, I'm sure Sony would want that feature to be exclusive to the PS3 version of the game and even then, I don't think many (or any major) 3rd party publishers will actually support cross-play.
