Here's a great article by US GAMER:

Even though very few people talked about it, the single most impressive thing about E3 this year (in my book, anyway) wasn't the new hardware or the hundred upcoming sequels that were announced; rather, it was the way Sony has quietly revitalized the Vita.

*sigh* everyone KNOWS there are 1 gazillion indie games coming, you don't have to keep telling us.  But to me, these games are shovelware.  I didn't buy a vita for top-down-side-scrolling games I could play with my phone's power.  The vita has LOADS of power.  These indie games are sub-standard for what the vita can do.
Jeez, if all they're gonna do is release top-down-side-scrolling indie games, then the Vita, Phones and OUYAs will be in the same market.  At the current prices, I know which will lose.

Completely agree with you. The Vita has a lot of power, so it would be great if there were more games that took advantage of it.
To me, all these indie games could be made for the PSP, so there wouldn't be a need for a Vita. If the console has that much power, take advantage of it.
