I'm confused.... I spent a lot of money on a console with huge potential and power, that Shahid of SCEE thinks I should be satisfied playing games which, quite frankly, are mobile phone quality. Most of the E3 vita announcements (and no doubt of the 80 unannounced games which Shahid was referring to prior to E3) seem to be side-scrolling, top down indie games that I could play on my phone and no way utilise the power of the vita. This is not what I bought my vita for. I don't mind a good side-scrolling game every now and then (LBP, Donkey Kong for the 3ds to name a couple)... but in this day and age, I want to play games which don't force you along a single route.
*sigh*... I used to love my vita more than my 3ds.... but now, it's going back to the 3ds.
Keep with your 3DS and phone, it's all you need. I loved the over all design of the Vita, it has great potential to be the best portable...too bad the games and everything else about it are terrible. I traded my Vita in for a 3DS XL last month when there was a trade-in special AND the 3DS XL was on sale, I haven't looked back in regret one bit, too busy enjoying games
I have both Vita and the 3DS and the 3DS gets a lot more time than my Vita. I love the Vita and Persona 4 Golden is perfect, but once I completed that, i didn't feel the urge to beat my other games considering that the only games I want for Vita this year are Killzone and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD... On the other hand I keep playing my 3DS because I don't want to have a big ammount of games to beat when there are so many good titles on the way (Project X Zone this month and SMT IV next month and Mario and Luig in August...)
The 3DS has been getting more games but honestly nothing that I'm really into, I'm still happy I have the 3DS because there's been a number of E-Shop games I really like but I'd still take the Vita any day over it. I feel kind of the same way about Wii U vs. PS4. The Wii U is going to be getting more games for a while now that Nintendo is kicking it into high gear but Killzone, inFamous, Knack, The Order and many of the indie games are just more interesting to me than a remake of my least favorite Zelda game, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, etc. The only Wii U game right now that I feel like I'm really going to be missing out on something special is that one coming from Monolith.
I quite like the Vita's lineup. It's true that it hasn't quite delivered on the promise of AAA blockbusters, but I think as a niche indie machine, it's incredibly well serviced. I totally understand why people are miffed, though.
I think the Vita games look pretty good. Sure there isnt many AAA blockbusters on the machine lately but if Killzone Mercenary n the like sell well maybe the games people seem to crave will start seeing releases on Vita. I intend on picking up a vita this year anyway as there'll be a decent backlog of games to play. Plus, theres always remote play with the Ps4 At the moment tho, Im still perfectly happy with my PSPgo. The psp as a whole has been the only handheld Ive used since it launched. Playing through Persona 3 again is Persona 4 good on the Vita? I might purchase earlier if its worth it.
Persona 4 Golden is PERFECT for Vita. I wish that Atlus remade Persona 3 for Vita on the same way, because it's really strange on the PSP, specially after playing 4 on Vita...
I am a big fan of the Vita lineup. The indie stuff is fantastic and there are a lot of games I'm looking forward to. My only complaint is a lack of good addictive multiplayer. Killzone multiplayer will scratch that itch some, but I really just want simple addictive multiplayer. Even the chess game doesn't have real multiplayer. And Lumines doesn't have multiplayer. Very disappointing. But like I said I'm very satisfied with my Vita. If it gets a few games like Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes I'll be very very happy. And obviously if the PS4 remote play is all it's cracked up to be, the Vita is going to be invaluable for me.
What bugs me more than a lack of blockbusters is when the developers of other games(bad, in MY opinion) make their games sound like these awesome, innovative new experiences when they certainly are not. I mean, Destiny of Spirits? That looks like a stripped-down Streetpass battle(if you played Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition you know what I mean, if not, youtube it) with location-based collection added on. Sure, some people will get hooked, it is free, but I think that it's a waste of E3 spotlight. This exact kind of game is available on mobile devices and I don't know anyone who plays it. And most people have a Wi-Fi only Vita, severely limiting Destiny of Spirits. If you aren't going to give me good, full games, don't try to put filler on my $60 memory card.
I am glad that I was not the ONLY one who was able to look beyond the two-hour long PS4-dedicated presentation. What were people expecting, that 3 days could fit into 2 hours? Or that SONY didn't need to prioritize the PS4 during this E3?

Vita lineup isn't so much worse than PS4 or Xbone lineups =). I think Sony must create some agreement with XSEED and deliver some rare japanese gems to US and EU. Senran Kagura, for example. Maybe Tales of...

Talk about imports and XSEED: I would love to see a localized and updated version of the canceled localized version of the PSP-game Grand Knights History
