hello everyone please excuse my thickness at the moment i have a 8gb and i want to upgrade to the 16gb can i buy a used one or does it have to be a new one as memory cards are attached to your vita account

Cards are infact attached to a single account, but it's no issue.
When you put the used card in, you'll be able to format and use it with your account no problem.
