Now, I'm normally a Nintendo guy, but I'm seeing that people have gotten worked up over Rayman Legends Vita missing 28 levels from its console counterparts. But honestly, what with all the rage? First of all, these 28 levels consist of the Invasion levels, which are all just modified versions of existing levels which make the player focus on speed running from "Point A" to "Point B". I really don't mind this. In my opinion, Invasion Mode is actually unnecessary. Especially since Rayman Legends will come with 5 exclusive levels made from scratch (Murphy's Dungeon levels) as well as 2 exclusive character skins, plus it's portable and only 2/3 of the price. So in a way, Rayman Legends Vita is still the superior version. The only real thing Rayman Legends is missing is 4 player co-op, but it still has co-op nonetheless. (One player plays Rayman and one player plays Murphy.) It's honestly less chaotic that way. So anyways, cheer up people. Keep in mind you're paying 2/3 the price for portability, 5 exclusive levels, and 2 exclusive characters. Exclusion of modified versions of existing levels and limited co-op doesn't really bug me. Vita version is superior than PS3 version. It's a fact =). I don't really like 2D Raymans, but enjoying it on Vita. Touch controls are just lovely and fun. And overall game feels much more tight or something like that.
I think that the invasion levels shouldn't be a selling point but they are still a good addition. Trying to beat your friends score can be pretty addictive and see yourself climbing through the leaderboard its really rewarding.

Yeah. The main aspect where the Vita version excels over the PS3 version is controlling Murphy. Instead of using the touch screen to control Murphy (which is obviously how he was meant to be controlled), his controls are mapped to the analog sticks, which make his controls feel a bit awkward. Plus, Rayman Legends Vita has five exclusive levels and two exclusive characters like I mentioned.

Yeah, it is a nice addition no doubt. But I mean, it's not really necessary to make a good game. That's just the point I was trying to make. Otherwise, yeah, Invasion mode is a worthy addition.

I got the Wii U version, but I thought about double dipping on the Vita version just because it's that good. Even without the challenge levels, I still would have got the Vita version at a later time. But it's great to see that the missing levels will be added in later.
Levels are going to be patched. Vita is full version after all
Awesome! I guess Rayman Legends Vita will end up being the superior version after all.

Great news. This will be the version I end up getting, though I do hope one is also announced for PS4 in the future since the new controller has a touchpad that could be likely be used for the game.
can't believe people like the Vita version, I made the mistake of purchasing it because I loved origins on Vita... yes, it looks beautiful on the OLED screen but Murfy sucks, the touch screen stuff is kinda bearable but the tilt controlled stuff is so bad it ruins the game for me
