I got this weird massage from one of my friends on psn with a 50$ PlayStation card code,and it also said you need to share this message with all your friends. I was sure the code wont work, but I tried it anyway(I skipped the sharing part), and to my surprise it worked. Though I didn't add the funds to my wallet because it wasn't the right thing to do. Just wanted to share this story with everyone here.

Most of those codes are spoofed so it looks like they work, while in actuality they will fail at the last step.
I tried one a couple years back and after I redeemed and pushed the final step in adding it to my wallet, I got an error. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened to you if you actually went through with it.
