Pragmata PS5 Pro

Capcom has pushed a new Pragmata update live today that adds official support for PSSR2 on PS5 Pro.

There's some confusion here, as following a technical analysis from Digital Foundry, it was assumed the game already was utilising the newly enhanced feature. However, the Japanese publisher said this fresh patch "adds official support for the upgraded PSSR" and shows an example of it in action on social media.

Therefore, it seems Pragmata has only been using — and tested on — the system-level improvements brought about the recent settings toggle added to the PS5 Pro. Now, after today's patch, Pragmata has official, native support for PSSR2.

Here's the example Capcom provided:

Prior to today's update, Digital Foundry spoke of the PS5 Pro delivering a "colossal image quality boost" that upscaled an internal image from 864p all the way up to 2160p. Now with official PSSR2 support, the outlet may go back and run further tests on the PS5 title.

Pragmata has already sold over one million copies in just a few days and seems on track to be both a critic and a firm fan favourite. In our 8/10-rated Pragmata PS5 review, we called it "a cracking action game that just feels brilliant to play".
