I had to note that I had help in this for I am mentally impaired, well, just a little.... but I did all the work at the interview.
Edit: Big money coming in means moar games to buy in the long run!
That's why we all work pal. Good stuff, well done and good luck. Can you lend me your staff discount card?

Welcome to the working world. More money means more games but less time to play them. Then you get a girlfriend and that's even less time to game. So is the way of life.

Good luck at your job dude!
Depends on my schedule. I never had a girlfriend and I can't at this point. Thanks! I hope.I do good in this one. I need to support myself and sometimes my wants.

Preach it brother!! Haha yeah seriously though you're so right. Much as I love living with my girlfriend, it's dramatically reduced the amount of decent single player console gaming I can fit in, and that's working somewhere with a 15 minute commute. In a week and a half we're moving out and I'll have an hour commute instead, so god knows how I'll fit it in then haha. Oh well, the Vita will be getting a lot of love anyhow! I just wish there was a way I could play my PS3 games on the move - that's where the bulk of my backlog lies :S

People that have jobs and girlfriend also have the time to play games ?
please tell me how you guys do it ;_;
We lock ourselves away in what is known as a man cave.
Unfortunately I have no such den of wonders, meaning most of my gaming is limited to the front room. But, @Faruko, fortunately for me my girlfriend loves a lie-in at the weekend, which normally gives me at least a couple of hours per morning most Saturdays and Sundays for me to get my game on! Outside of that it's generally the Vita for me while the TV is in use, either playing Vita games or using RP. Sadly my PS3 doesn't get a whole lotta love nowadays, although every now and then when I'm feeling particularly lazy I'll try and squeeze in an hour or so before getting up for work if I can, as I don't need to leave my bed to set it up!
I've been ordered to start using my original Xbox soon or else forfeit it when we move flat (I've not played it in about 2 years), so looks like I'll now be attempting to cram in some Star Wars: KOTOR somewhere along the way too!

Just had to bring this topic up again. I got done with my orientation and I will work tomorrow from 8am to 12pm as a sales associate, is there any tips or advice as far as keeping this job?
4 hours or 16 hours? Only advise I can give and follow myself is 'always be early and plan to leave late'. When people know your reliable you become invaluable.

I prefer "work smart and not hard", there's something to be said for getting all your work done in the allotted hours
My advise as a new starter though is to just be quiet and do what you're told, don't bother trying to take initiative for the first few weeks, you're not expected too and I've seen it too many times where people try to make an impression and end up missing basic stuff. By all means ask questions but do yourself a favour and make a note of the answers if you need to as I find people don't like repeating themselves. Mcnoisy is right though, once you know what you're doing you should be positioning yourself to become as invaluable as you can. You'll be fine!!
