The US only recently had the world cup should not have been awarded to them again so soon. Morocco would have been a better choice and more affordable for football fans.

@hotukdeals I wouldnt say its too soon considering Mexico had it 16 years after 1970. Germany hosted 32 years after the previous time and this would be the same.

Would have been good to see another nation such as Morocco get it as you said though, they are quite a enthusiastic footballing nation, although from what I understand of the reports given, Morocco's infrastructure would need massive investment to become viable, even though eight years should be long enough to do it..

And of course the other issue is profit, the forecast for money making in North America was double that of Morocco and as we know, spreading the word of football is only beaten by the need to make cash.

So to agree with your other point, it certainly wont be as affordable in North America

I stood there chattering in excitement, like a necrophile at a bus crash....

@hotukdeals Are you kidding??? The last time we had the World Cup was 1994, Which means when it comes this way again it would be 32 years.

I for one am quite happy that it will be here, I just hope that I will be living near one of the venues at that time.

Will ticket prices be different depending on the venue? If so, I'm assuming matches played in Mexico will probably be cheaper.

World Cup came alive last night.

I’d be very surprised if we get a better game than Portugal-Spain in the group stage.
Great game for the neutrals.

Only thing missing was either Ramos or Pepe getting sent off.

Was hoping that Messi would score a few goals yesterday so he and Ronaldo could have a proper contest to see who can get the golden boot. Unfortunately, he didn't even register one goal.:/

Great start to our campaign 😡.
We were dreadful out there. Mexico deserved that win.

A lot of big/good teams drawing their matches so far.

Wanted to watch new summer signing Fred but he got injured during training. - -;

Spain anf France have very good squads, but i always feel that they are one moment away from some kind of disaster happening. Like sacking your manager two days before a tournament.

Apparently Fellaini is staying at United. And just like that... my excitement and hope for the new season fades away.

@WanderingBullet You should stick him goals if de gea goes. His hair alone will keep half the shots out.

@JohnnyShoulder Oh, no. United can sell pretty much any player they want but they must not let De Gea go.

@WanderingBullet I think you are pretty safe in keeping him. Real Madrid are sniffing around for a new keeper but not heard that they are interested in De Gea anymore. They can have ours, we have two going!
