Monster Hunter Rise getting snubbed for GOTY is a bad joke. I don't care at all about what wins this year.

@Kidfried I don't really play enough games to feel that I can really judge what should be game of the year however I have played Ratchet and Clank and Returnal and I also can't believe the former got a nomination and the latter didn't. Agreed R&C is a solid game, sure, but nothing groundbreaking 🤷‍♂️

@Kidfried the one thing people speak highly off are the visuals.

it was praised to be the first real next gen looking game by some notable people.

enough to win GOTY? no.
but then again my personal pick goes to guardians of the galaxy

R&C looked great, was generally great on the tech side and had a nice story with some good performances (Jennifer Hale as Rivet was excellent). It is one of my favorite games this year but I'm not sure I'd nominate it either and certainly not over Returnal

@kyleforrester87 no I haven't got D2 unfortunately. Borderlands 2 is great tbh. The gameplay loop is not as refined as Destiny but the gear is a lot better and the areas are huge. The story, characters and everything else is better thinking about it. Worth picking up the handsome collection to scratch that looter shooter itch without paying extra dough for stuff in-game.

@themcnoisy tbh I played BL2 a little bit a few years back but I didn’t enjoy it. I’m sure it’s a lot more fun co-op. I don’t think I bought it digitally but I’ll check as I might still own it actually.

@kyleforrester87 Yeah, you'll probably get bored of it, like you did Dying Light. Though picking up @themcnoisy every he runs into trouble would probably make it more fun.

@colonelkilgore accepted mate! I've checked your trophy list and it's impressive. Don't know were you get the patience. Death Stranding was boss, but not so boss I wanted to go up the mountains anymore than I needed to ROFL. I'm on a long weekend away from Saturday, most likely back home Tuesday!

@themcnoisy thanks mate… and funny that you should mention patience as it is definitely a case of that over skill in my case 😅. I noticed you have a pretty impressive haul yourself, will you be going for the plat on Borderlands 2… as I’ll definitely be trying for it, so we could definitely help each other in that case?

… and yeah no rush mate, I’m still finishing of MGS2 and MGS4, so I don’t see myself starting it until a week Monday (I do have that week off too, so I’m hoping to get the vast majority of the game done that week). Enjoy your long weekend!

@kyleforrester87 @Wesker I think we will be starting Borderlands 2 a week Monday (possibly late evening). Only the 2 of us so far. I'm level 11 and just at sanctuary. Happy to wait if y'all want to catch up and get used to the controls again.

@colonelgore doubt I will grab the plat a few of them are character specific. Best off going one of the four original characters, @thrillho advised on the gunserker who can use 2 guns at a time. We will hit up the main game and once we are level 30 shoot into Tina's Dungeons and Dragons game, then polish off the rest if we are up for it!
