Topic: The Chit Chat Thread

@TheBrandedSwordsman There's quite a lot I'd like to play to be honest. I'm just picking songs I like from the JuistinGuitar website based on the chords and difficulty. I think the main thing I want to do is play Rock songs on electric. I'd like to play a mix of Punk Rock and Heavy Rock. Anything from Older Green Day and Blink-182 to some of the classic rock stuff.

I know how scattered that sounds, I'm just happy playing music in general really!

Urgh. Some of this California v Blizzard lawsuit makes for some pretty grim reading.

@JohnnyShoulder @Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy The ActiBlizz stuff is just horrific. Frat boy culture has zero place in an actual working environment, the abuse African-American women were suffering at ActiBlizz laid out in text is sickening. There’s also more allegations against Ubisoft Singapore come out recently too, racial pay gaps and the like.

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy What really got me was when someone said that this lawsuit will only be the incidents they know about. Which is true, if there are this number of awful things going on then there’ll be a whole lot more that were quietly swept under the carpet.

@johncalmc I did see that Hard Drive were going after ActiBlizz with pretty scathing satire.

@nessisonett oh i love these. to be fair it must suck working for activision and not being a scumbag and having to deal with all this but then it's not just a problem with the games industry - it's a problem with most industry.

Ever since I was part of this community...I got my HND, got my masters, got engaged, bought my house, got married, got a kid.

@Th3solution Nothing like it mate. Just felt retrospective, as I only recently tied the knot.
Trying to get back into the swing of things & finish of the backlog.
My partner doesn’t really like games so I’ve been experimenting😂.
I thought for sure she’d enjoy the persona rhythm games, but...😅. She did really like Erica though. She can’t use the analog sticks so it’s a bit tricky.

@Fight_Teza_Fight yeah my missus is the same… the irony of wives (soon-to-be wives) not being able to handle an analogue stick huh 🤷‍♀️

My wife is also a non-gamer but we have played (most) of Lego Harry Potter together although it’s a frustrating experience for me

A highlight was a boss fight where her tactic was to hide in a barrel and let me do it. The vast majority of the time I try and get her to do as much as possible but I can only bite my tongue for so long!

My girlfriend and I played a few games together, and she's not big on gaming. The Lego games as already mentioned are great.

Overcooked is fun but it has been known to cause some people to argue, it's a bit high pressure....

If you have a PS5 then Sackboy is amazing in co-op.

There's a lot of good things said about It Takes Two, but I've not played it yet myself!

Just finished Trails of Cold Steel. Wow talk about cliffhangers 😲 can't wait to play the next one now!

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I'm maybe going to play Yakuza 4 first as It's been a while since I finished 3!

I can see where your coming from, with not enjoying Cold Steel 2 having jumped straight in after beating the first one. I like to play something smaller in-between the 100 hour epics to keep myself from getting fatigued.
