I turned on all the hot taps at once and the problem hasn’t completely gone away but it’s a lot better than it was. The plumbing in this house is atrocious because it’s a council new build so it’s been a nightmare trying to work out how it even works. Now the drain only gurgles the second the boiler fully kicks in and doesn’t do it again. I assume that means some of the air has been released but there’s still some trapped in the pipes that I have no idea how to release. Perhaps it’ll sort itself the more I use the hot taps as that seems to have somehow helped.
@KratosMD isn’t the cloud flare thing a security measure? I once had a post that randomly triggered it and Ant looked into it. There may have been something innocuous in your post doing the same.
@KratosMD Anything in your post that resembled code such as SQL? I assume Cloudflare has measures against injection that might have been triggered by something in your post. So basically what @Thrillho says 😂😂
@KratosMD sorry about that, man. Now I’m really curious what it was that you lost.
I can’t say that I’ve had anything exactly like what you experienced, but have written a long post and lost it before when my browser was left inactive and refreshed, so I’m a big proponent of the @RogerRoger method of ‘select all’ and ‘copy’ to the clipboard any longer post like a review. Or, alternatively, making the original post in a document application then copying it over on the site from there. Still, I feel your pain because sometimes thoughts come just in the moment and one may not be planning on it being long (like this post 😂) and so if you lose it then it may be hard to recall what those thoughts were.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
@RogerRoger Yeah, we call it the RogerRoger Method, or RRM for short. Not to be confused with REM, which is the overrated 80’s alternative rock band of “Losing My Religion” fame, and the acronym for Rapid Eye Movement phase of sleeping. Also not to be mistaken for Red Redemption Massacre, which of course is Rockstar’s next gen project which is a sequel to RDR and shows the story Jack Marston’s involvement in organized crime leading to the Valentines Day Massacre. (Not really, but it sounds legit, right 😉)

Anyone else watch the XBox Series X reveal event hoping to see Elden Ring footage? Did you see the Fable trailer? (PS5 as well, I presume)
"Preoccupied with a single leaf, you won’t see the tree. Preoccupied with a single tree, you’ll miss the entire forest. Don't be preoccupied with a single spot. See everything in its entirety...effortlessly. That is what it means...to truly "see." "
@RogerRoger If the Mafia series didn’t already do the prohibition crime era then I would totally go with the idea actually. 😄
@LN78 Eh.. Something about the lead singer’s voice just grates on me. They’re just a little too alternative / folky sounding for my tastes. Their songs do stick in your head, I’ll give them that. But as far as 80’s music I prefer a little harder traditional sounding rock style — Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Scorpions, Queen, Van Halen....
Admittedly, I quite like the next wave of bands and musical artists that claim to have been inspired by REM — like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Hootie and the Blowfish.
@LN78 I dunno, I reckon they could be classified as ‘overrated’ for the sole reason that they were inexplicably big while bands such as Violent Femmes, The Feelies and The Replacements still had to occupy the ‘alternative’ space. Overrated in the sense that they were overly rated, rather than being rated too highly.
@Th3solution Whoa whoa whoa. As a mid-thirties male who refuses to accept the nineties actually ended, I feel I have to weigh in here. I love REM. 'Green' is a top album.
They were a bit middle-of-the-road at times though. Check out their 'Accelerate' album if you want something with a bit more kick to it. They went quite rocky on their later records
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@nessisonett I've never heard of any of those bands - Violent Femmes etc. ,what are the best albums to get by each of them?

@Arugula@nessisonett@Thrillho I'd reply with some sort of crying gif of my own, but I'm far too old to know how to do that. I'll just go back to playing Snake on my Nokia

@nessisonett I've been away for a while so only noticed your post on the Lorne crisps. I'm a total crisp fiend so had to give them a go. Really strong flavour! I don't know if I like them.
@Vahla_Hanesh None of my family liked them so I ended up eating the whole bag. They’re quite peppery but then the brown sauce is also pretty strong. Yum yum.
@nessisonett is recreating the Game Club thread. I know a number of you were involved with that, so, if possible go drop by the thread linked down below and register your interest in participating. If not for Bioshock, then maybe for a game in the future. We'll need to know who to tag when the time comes. Any tips or suggestions about how the thread should be run are also welcomed so as to make it a good experience for everyone.
RIP Argos catalogue. Spent ages poring over that, looking for which games I wanted for Christmas. I saw this absolute classic which really drove home how good a deal Game Boys were and also how bloody expensive Donkey Kong Country 2 was over here!
