@Th3solution, yeah, you got the right three box arts (the only difference is that you picked the EU version of KHII, but it appears to be identical to the NA version, so no issue).

@themcnoisy There are quite a few that stick out - especially games from Dungeons & Dragons as well as ones that are very sexist by modern standards (Vixen, Barbarian etc). I quite liked 'A Rockstar ate my Hamster' and of course Alien games as a fan of Gigers creation but I can't recall as many as I would like to these days - certainly not the actual name of the games and the exact artwork on the boxes these days. I think I am too old or just had too many games and never really paid to much attention to the box art.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

@themcnoisy Unfortunately I don't have much an affinity with box and cover art, and the amount of stuff to look at is a bit overwhelming for me, so I'll be skipping this one.

@JohnnyShoulder It’s all good, man. I didn’t participate in the screenshot competition a few months ago, but I enjoyed just watching the thread to see the winners, so I understand. Feel free to vote when we get to that stage, or even if you want to wait until we narrow it down to the final ten, then start voting — I think that’s when it will get a little heated and it’ll be much easier to analyze the entrants.

@KALofKRYPTON I know - I think the cover remains one I remember because of that fact. Its the ones that were 'controversial' or were brought up time and time again for whatever reason - like Wolf on Barbarian's cover that I remember most but not necessarily because they are great and deserve to be nominated. That's why I haven't really put forward any nominations.
I remember playing the games more and can't always remember the name of games let alone the box art. There are numerous games that I enjoyed that I cannot remember the title of at all and even trying to google games lists for releases on the platform hasn't helped to find the title...

@KALofKRYPTON Its the 80's - most were 2D platformers and its difficult to describe something that could be any number of games. My memory isn't exactly great and I am sure that games back then also didn't need to do as much to impress as they do now. I remember seeing Goldeneye for the first time and being blown away at how 'lifelike' the characters were - so much so that you could recognise the actors playing those iconic roles. Today I can't even play Goldeneye anymore and rather preserve the 'great' memories than wonder what I ever saw in that game in the first place...
One game I keep trying to remember was a 2D platformer set on an Alien land and you had points in the ceiling where acid dripped down. I don't think you were a human in it and it wasn't a cheap 'Codemasters' type game either but my memory could be playing tricks....
