Well strong rumour is that Microsoft are well in the hunt for WB's gaming division. Not set in stone by any means. But a real possibility if the rumours are true. Which coincide with their games reveal event on the 23rd.....what's your take guys if it were true?

Wouldn't really bother me personally.batman would be a loss sure but after that mortal kombat yeah.... But is this what MS have been so sure of themselves about recently?

It's just the developers up for grabs, it doesn't mean Microsoft will get the exclusive rights for batman. They'll end up having to do what Sony did for spiderman and snap them up.

Havong said that, it will be a coup for Microsoft if they can have quality developers like rocksteady under their umbrella

They would have to pay extra for the licence though. A considerable amount. Never say never though, MS have plenty of money to spend should they want to. Maybe they will look to aquire a temporary licence if they do aquire Rocksteady as part of a deal.

Very true, there are few superheroes as big as Spiderman but if anyone's more popular, then it would be Batman. I can definitely see the temptation for MS, good point.

@KratosMD Rocksteady probably does not have a license that expands beyond the game they're currently making. I imagine that as soon Rocksteady is being sold, they are to finish their current game (under whatever publisher they are at that moment) for the console's they've been currently working on, but that's probably it. Could Warner Bros. make the deal more interesting by offering a Batman license too? I don't know well enough how business deals like those are made.

@KratosMD I think if Microsoft bought them, would they consider it worth it to buy the license on top of a $4 billion acquisition? Batman would be one hell of a coup, but would it be financially worth it? I could see Microsoft buying them but not spending loads of money on the ip as well
