Hail, all, just felt it necessary to greet all here. I'm a longtime PS gamer, since I got my original PlayStation back in 1996 for my birthday from my mum when I was 17. I've had every PS platform available here in the US, and moved here from Canada back in 2005. I love RPGs best, and prefer RPGs from Japan by and large, although I'm commonly seen playing Bethesda's RPG series' Fallout and my favourite western series, The Elder Scrolls. I'm something of a Skyrim expert since I've spent over 5000 hours exploring and mucking about with various things, as well as figuring out how to get around various glitches in such a massive game. I'm also quite knowledgeable in most things tech related from PCs to various tech devices. I've been a Technical Advisor on a couple of forums on the past, and will gladly answer any questions I am capable of. Feel free to message me if you have a question.

Pleased to be here, all! I look forward to many spirited discussions!

@SaiyanFury: Hail - love that opening. I am the least technically minded person you will ever meet so good to know I can ask you a question. Need some help with setting up my rig in the next few days - want my wii, mega drive, mame, CPS2 and old pc games in one unit. So yes I need help!

Welcome to Pushsqaure! You've come to a great community. I love Skyrim too, but I've only put in 120 hours so far lol. 5000 a bit of a jaw-dropping number. I'm gonna assume you also play it on PC, so what are your top ten mods (not including graphics mods)?

@Jaz007:

Hail, Jaz, nope, all of that time is on the PS3 version, and for a little while, I played a little bit on my 360. My PC has a refurbished motherboard and because of financial and time constraints, I have not had time to rebuild it. I would love to mod the heck out of Skyrim, and the hardware I've been slowly collecting should provide me with all of the power it would need. I have discovered many things whilst playing the PS3 version, and while a lot of people claim the PS3 version is the buggiest, it's actually my limited time with the 360 version that was the worst. In my very first game where you're in Helgen escaping from Alduin, and and you run into the old fort, my 360 version's controls froze just before Alduin broke through the wall in the fort, and it wouldn't release it. I had to restart the game in order to get past that. Aside from that, consistent game load freezing on the 360 as well drove me to near madness. I encountered the same thing on my brother-in-law's 360 version as well. The biggest hurdle on the PS3 in Skyrim, is the game save filesize. As it gets up to around 15 or so MB, it can start to have onscreen loading issues, getting slow and laggy, which it does especially above 18MB. You can play the game for about an hour with a filesave that size before it starts to get extremely laggy, even worse when you travel to Solstheim. But hey, feel free to ask me anything, I shall answer if I can, haha.

@themcnoisy: Hail MC_Noisy, I apologise for not getting back sooner. I can indeed advise you in your quest for getting your older games to work on a PC. It's been a while since I've given some technical advise, but I'm not a complete invalid yet, haha. I would like to be this site's technical advisor, so maybe you can petition this site's advisors to allow me to be as such. If you have a personal inquiry feel free to post it to me personally, or to my email at [email protected]. I will get back to you with all of the knowledge that I have to muster.
