@Oram77 I have to admit I hadn't given Hellraiser: Revival much of a glance, since I kind of hated the original 80s film. Having heard more about what the game is doing and give this overview a bit of a looksie however, it seems like I was maybe too quick to judge! I do love the concept of the Cenobites, and the whole narrative conceit of this being centered around a cult seems like a really interesting approach. Alright, Hellraiser, consider yourself on my radar. I'll keep an eye out for the reviews and thoughts of my fellow forum folks!

@Tjuz Thanks! I hadn’t tagged you on those initial impressions as they were so minimal. I’ve now spent much more time with the game. At chapter 3. I’m absolutely loving it so far. It’s much, much more in the ‘hide and seek’ realm of survival horror (think Amnesia, Outlast etc.) but it works, and has been genuinely heart pumping at times. Like most of these games, it ultimately boils down to memorizing enemy movements and distracting them in order to sneak by them but a well implemented ‘peek’ mechanic elevates things. The story is very well done thus far and the audio design is fantastic, even without Yamaoka’s touch. I’m also loving the puzzles. The level of immersion here is the standout but I don’t want to say more, as there are some really nice touches here that are fun to discover. I’ve upgraded my so far, so good to so far, so great 😊 Hope it keeps the momentum up.

Edit: How are you making out @Oram77
