@Th3solution Swap "throw" for "crush" and yep, you're singing my song.

Yeah, I was really excited for the 20th Anniversary Lara statues, but the relatively-static pose was a bit of a disappointment (although I guess it reflects the box art). I just love things that look alive, y'know? Both the Temple of Osiris Lara and the Ninja Batman are objects I'd never get tired of looking at because they're just so dynamic.

In other words, I reckon you've just helped me decide which Lara to get, so thanks!

@KALofKRYPTON Oh my God, were you there?!

@RogerRoger The right answer with Lara Croft is of course to get both. 😁 But yes, when art gives a static image or object a feeling of motion, that makes it so pleasing to look at and never tire of.

@Th3solution My uncle actually has quite a weapon collection. A few are decoration pieces, but most of them have actual cutting power. I have a few swords myself, one is very ornate and very impractical- The scabbard itself has a sapphire in the center, two dragon heads on the ends with both sides having gold decoration pieces, and at the top is a miniature crystal globe. Safe to say, it's not fit for combat.

I also have two katana, each with Japanese script on the blades, which are pretty dull now. There's also a sword modeled after Ichigo's Zangetsu in Bleach, albeit much smaller than the actual thing and it completely black in coloration.

I also have a Keyblade. It's not entirely accurate to the eeal design, but it's cool nonetheless.

@KALofKRYPTON There's not a particular style of jacket I'm looking for, but I'd rather not a cheap one. If I get one, I want it to last for a long time.

@DerMeister Sweet! Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks swords make for cool decor and collectibles, even if impractical.

And true to the statement “we always want what we don’t have” — I actually have a leather jacket. Actually I own two right now. A brown Indiana Jones style one that’s the short / waist cut and a longer brown one that covers the rear end. I wouldn’t mind also eventually getting a leather duster to compete my collection. I think those are cool too.

Here you are a rare, magnificent raw ham from Siena. I only had the chance to taste it once, but I'd like to exchange one of my kidney for one of this. Actually it costs around € 500 (€ 80 per kilo).

A timely thread.
My younger brother recently spend near enough £1000 on a gold bracelet and my family have been wanting me to do something similar for some time now (gold tends to keep value).
I don't find 'investments' like that attractive. It's not something I'd ever wear, so what's the point?
Funnily enough he did tell me that he thought it was a bit much one day after his purchase and is now saving it for 'special occasions'.

Earlier in the year I thought about buying a Audi TT. Found a good deal on one, but couldn't afford the insurance & settled on a more economically friendly alternative.
I've always liked the car and that's probably the first thing I'd buy if I was to get an unexpected cash flow.

Realistically though I'd probably just buy a top of the line 4K TV or buy some property to rent out^^.
