Has anyone been caught up in this new craze of new Fortnite figures? Apparently it’s looking like the next big thing for Christmas. I’ve been struggling to get a hold of anything but today at Smyths Toys I got everything for my 10 yr old. For a Turbo Builder set which includes 2 figures and 89 pieces to build structures like you do in the game, a squad mode figure set that comes with 4 figures and hammers/weapons, a llama loot plush which is really small and a small loot chest that includes a couple of materials that goes towards the 89 piece set and several weapons, all that came to almost £100.

Last week they had their own midnight launch opening at several toy stores and I’ve been told by some staff that people were queuing up outside and people being punched and kicked trying to get a hold of them once the doors opened. The Turbo Builder set is probably the main one everyone’s after, I just think it’s absolutely ridiculous the way some people went on just for these small flimsy toys but with the turbo builder set and squad mode figure set, both which are selling for £34.99, I think they’d of still sold out everywhere even if it was £49.99. I’m just glad I’ve got my son them and can now forget about them, I already can’t stand the game as it is lol

Yes unfortunately. I didn't even know these were a thing but my kids saw an ad on YouTube and told me about them. Thankfully they're starting to get out of the action figure stage but I can see these being super popular this season

@Jaz007 I'm sure many parents share that same sentiment lol

@antdickens Yeah they are just your average figures, move arms, legs, head and put a tiny weapon in their hands, they don’t have any functionality with the game at all. They only just released Saturday gone, so far I only know Smyths Toys and Asda that sell them. They were for sale at midnight both at stores and online, I went to buy everything that I got today online that night at about 12.15 and they were all sold out with the exception of a few stores that were well over 60 miles from me that had some in stock to collect in store but there was no way I was travelling that far for figures, only to be told on arrival that they are all sold out.

@Jaz007 That was exactly how I almost reacted when my wife told me about them lol I thought it was going to be a long month trying to get a hold of them but thankfully I’m done. I’m betting this is going to be the start of things to come, now we have Fortnite figures, next it’ll be a movie in the cinemas, mini episodes on either Netflix or on TV, bed covers, bedroom wallpapers, lamp shades etc etc.
