@Khwarezm89 I didn't even know FUT had a non competitive element to it tbh 😬 I really only play one game mode, and that game mode is Clubs/Pro Clubs.

How is it going anyway? I've found it really quite easy to get cheeky little dinked assists this year, which is a nice bonus, as I really only ever play Fifa for playing as a team and scoring memorable goals as a team and having a laugh (and getting mildly wound up, ofc) 😅 The rest I don't really care about as long as there's goals and assists aplenty. The AI is as bad as ever, and it has exactly the same bugs as ever too. So it is very much FC indeed.

@Malaise cheers buddy, though I think I’d actually impress myself if I managed to pull this one off 😅. Think it’s probably beyond me though. I will have a go though… and at the DMCV and MGR plats too eventually 🤞

Just bought Until Dawn and pre-ordered Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on a whim. I finish work at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping to play as much of Until Dawn as I can before Silent Hill 2 releases. I wasn't originally going to get it, but I've been meaning to replay the original game, so I might as well play the remake. As for Horizon, I couldn't resist the £10 upgrade price.

@Ravix I really like the new graphics mode and I feel the game is more polished in general. That being said it's still EA FC with all glitches that people expose to win games xD .

I wish if we have more football games in the market. I miss PES and eFootball isn't that great tbh.

Weekend sale in US at least on psn. I didn't see a post about so I thought I'd throw it in. Some decent older games for sale.

Yeah psn sales are usually global. Even when it’s tied to holidays that aren’t global like Halloween Or Christmas. I would know since I’d typically browse both us and kuwaiti stores and when US store has Black Friday or Christmas sales, Kuwaiti store would have something similar to coincide. I guess it’s Sony’s way to not leave anyone out which is cool.

@Yousef- I wouldn't recommend to get it day one for sure or at full price. If you won't play Ultimate team then just wait for Black Friday sale.

Silent Hill 2 Remake - wasn’t planning on it being a purchase at release but it just looks so good.

@colonelkilgore have a good one colonel! I think I’m getting on a sale most likely. After I get more impressions of its performance (on steam deck).

Do you think you will miss the old camera angle and potentially just the old style? I've never played it, and don't really play horror games at all, but seeing the comparisons I liked the look of the old game over the remake, it just looked unique, eerie and well designed. And it actually made me wonder when the 'over the shoulder' camera became the absolute standard in games, when some games just totally suit different approaches to the art direction and camera.

@Ravix I never played the original so I don’t have that hanging over me… but even if I did, I’m all about third person over-the-shoulder view so it’s just how I’d want it if it were up to me.

@Jimmer-jammer maybe not straight away as I’m neck deep in Dead Space 3 rn… I might suggest the missus and I play it together for Halloween though, instead of watching horror movies. If she’s up for it, we’ll be starting it this month some time. If not, I’ll try and work it in somewhere, genuinely excited about it.

@Gunnerzaurus seeing the side by side genuienly made me want to play the original, or something like it, or to see more modern games made like it today. It just seemed so stylish and well suited (and refreshing, even though it's old)

What I'd actually love in a slefish way is for Remedy to make a moody detective noir in that kind of style, like right now. Or just an Alan Wake spin off in this game style.

I just really hope that Konami basically hand the keys-to-the-kingdom to Bloober now and that they remake 1, 3 and 4. Its a series I was always curious about during my 20’s/30’s (when I was far too busy with sex, drugs and alcohol to game seriously) but now that I’m back in, it’s a series that I’d love to play in its entirety (well all the good ones anyway 😉).

@Malaise Did you play the demo? I played it for 5 hours straight and was still disappointed when it ended!

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden - been keeping my eye on this for a while and it got a temporary reduction on Amazon’s big deal day today so finally got to pull the trigger.

@Ravix on a 3.141592653689793% more serious note, I do find the discussion around one vs new style in this particular case to be somewhat funny.

If someone were to find the old style “weird”, it would merely enhance the experience, cuz horror is inherently weird. If horror was predictable, smooth and comfortable, then how long before it can even be called horror?

@Yousef- I don't know, all I know is, to me, the old one looks really cool, and I kind of wished I played horror games because it just looks ace. The new one sure looks like a new game, though, which will probably mean it is good (I assume there's actual story that people liked from the original that is still there) so it can't really go wrong.
