Canada has only gotten like two major restocks of the console. One was when it launched, and the other was in like mid-December around the 22nd
At this point I'm almost convinced Sony has some sort of secret vendetta against us or Trudeau played some sick prank on them back when he was into doing blackface and cosplaying as Aladdin
My best guess is around April or May, maybe even June. The reason I say that is because I'm expecting the console to restock within the next couple months, then immediately sell out again, so hopefully around spring or summer it'll be more widely available with stock to spare.

@Tasuki That is....absolutely not true, lol. I go to all of the major retailers every single day to see if there are any in stock, and there never, ever are.
By the end of 2014, the first full year that the PS4 was available, it had sold about 18m units. If Sony is only going to be able to make about that many PS5s this year, I'm not sure that its going to be enough, honestly. The demand seems higher this time around, plus we have the damn scalpers to deal with.
@nessisonett@Tasuki That's not even remotely true in the US either. I've never even seen them in-stock at online retailers, just scalpers selling them for $1,000+ lol.
@Unlucky13@TowaHerschel7 Follow Wario64 on Twitter he always posts when a retailer is about to open up sales for PS5, he also does the same for Xbox Series X.

Supplies will likely be constrained through 2022, at least. With that said, people who are paying attention to online availability should be able to nab one sooner than later, I'd imagine.
@Tasuki I follow thousands of people and have thousands of followers on Twitter because of my website so the chances I'll spot one of his tweets are slim at best, but yes I do follow him.
So close to getting one from smyths in UK tonight. In my basket and to the pay stage on three separate devices before they all crashed! Gutted, I'd agree with those saying mid-late 2022, look at the switch at the minute, still selling ganbusters globally because of lockdown and increase in general of people gaming. Cant imagine when I'll see them on an actual physical shelves again, seems like that would take more than ps5 stock in 2021 the way things have started!
The effort needed to follow people on Twitter and then rush to a certain website in the hopes I'm one of the lucky few who are able to buy one right now is just too much. That's the whole point of why I started this thread. I'm waiting until this period that we are in is over.
I want to be able to just go online, or go to a store, and buy one without all of this nonsense.
@Unlucky13 Yeah, I don’t know if you saw my post on the article the other day, but the PS5
drops seems to be fewer and further between over the last month, which is the opposite of what we originally expected — people were saying after the launch and the X-mas demand settled that it would become easier to come by.
My interest has waned and I’ve stopped monitoring the retailer and stock update sites. It’s hardly worth the mental energy. Every few days I’ll randomly check nowinstock.com and see that a supply dropped somewhere and was sold out in 5 minutes. Sometimes if it a big drop it might last up to 20 minutes. They seem to go live in the mid afternoon usually. I’m typically at work and not able to drop everything, stop what I’m doing and stalk the storefront for half an hour.
So I’ve emotionally tempered expectations. Thankfully my PS4 keeps chugging along fine and I still enjoy it.

I agree with you, I don't feel it's worth the mental energy, time and stress. If it ends up being several months before I can buy a PS5 then so be it. I've got enough PS4 games to last me much longer than that.
Spare a thought for those of us in Sweden (or other smaller EU countries.) Some retailers still haven't fulfilled their pre-orders and news of new stock is very rare. Apparently a few more coming at the end of this month, but they will have already been pre-ordered. I was hoping for March/April, but starting to suspect it'll be Xmas 2021 for me...
