@kris0000 @Th3solution I had a few crashes and had a corrupted save. They were annoying but nothing that took away from my enjoyment of the game but you'd definitely rather they didn't happen. I do wonder if some of them are related to the system software rather than Returnal specifically as that would make them are a lot harder to fix, and would rely on Sony making changes as well.

On a general note, I've been playing Demon's Souls for the last couple of nights and it's on a whole different level pace wise. I've been really missing Selene's speed and abilities 😆

@render Love Demons Souls, i'm a souls nut! So having that plus Returnal - the sci-fi Sekiro - on PS5 is a dream. Let me know how you get on with it. I found a caster build was best. Two great games that show off the PS5!!!

@Jimmer-jammer Yeah the whole journey to the boss in Biome 4 was magical! I love it when everything comes together like the sound, visuals and gameplay to create a special feeling. Happens rarely, but when it does it is a proper chef's kiss moment! The last I time I recall something similar is the Guardian Ape fight in Sekiro.

@JohnnyShoulder @Jimmer-jammer the sound of the organ up to Hyperion was fantastic as it built the closer you climbed. Just beat him with the lobber. Now spending more time in 4 as I beat it to quick before I focus on 5.

@render @kris0000 second on demon souls. These ps5 focused only games have really been great.

@JohnnyShoulder @render I take it back; I just had a great run through biome 2 and 3 mostly using the lobber. The one I had in biome 2 was one-hitting the smaller flying enemies. I even beat Nemesis with a different variation of the weapon.

Picked up a fair few ciphers in both biomes too. I might just keep the game on the back burner for when I want to mix things up a bit. I should really finish Ghost of at some point!

@kris0000 @Elodin I totally agree. I've run out of superlatives to describe Returnal and I think Demon's Souls is going to be another that I can't stop playing. I'll keep you posted and check out a caster build, cheers 👍

@Thrillho That's why I love it. With a few good traits some things either just disintegrate before they get chance to attack you or just explode right away!

I'm definitely missing my daily fix of Returnal action so might have to get back on it again for a quick go this weekend.

@Thrillho I didn't think much of it either when it first unlocked it, but with a few traits gained it became one of my faves. Apart from in Biome 6, where I found it to be pretty useless lol.

@JohnnyShoulder In B6 it can be a beast as well, especially when you’ve got one with 3 or 4 traits on it. Those disco ball things can be taken out in a few shots if you hold the trigger down a bit before releasing it.

I quite liked the Lobber, especially with a few decent traits attached ... but for some reason I really struggled to hit the damn drones with it! I don't know if I was overthinking the shots, or just panicking (or both).

Outside of that though, it wrecked things

@render I prefer using the Hollowseeker or Electropylon for Biome 6. If those aren't available then the Carbine with raising pitch I've also done well with.

Last night I got the survey trophy for Biome 6 as was just missing one cypher and venturing into the containment room. I didn't realise you don't need to survive being in there, as I died and the trophy popped when I respawned in biome 4.

And tonight just before the footy I got the last scout log in Biome 5 for the survey trophy.

This must be a new thing since I last played; I also had one pop up saying my death had been avenged too.

And here’s a vid from my Nemesis fight with the lobber. I still think I prefer Hollowseeker with serrated blades for boss fights but it worked out pretty well!

@Thrillho Yeah I was getting those, but I turned them off as i was getting too many notifications when friends were playing the game.

@Thrillho Making it look easy as always 😀. Those Obolite repository ones have always been there but the avenged ones came later when they added the deceased scouts feature in. It's quite handy sometimes as if someone avenges you then you both get a reward. Usually it's a consumable or something like that.

The lobber has always been my go to, but my new favorite is now the hollowseeker with portal beam. That add on has saved my life many times.

@Elodin just wait till RNG gives you portal turret and portal beam! It cuts through everything

@Thrillho Thanks for the video. The Lobber looks like a viable option and really made short work of its third phase.

So I noticed you didn’t have a single time that the 2 dudes on the side shot a laser into the ground followed by expanding red rings of death. I had a fair amount of that going on in the second phase. I wonder if it’s just luck of the draw or if it’s true that the quicker you damage it the less attacks it does? Or I also noticed you hug the front ledge closely which actually seemed to work to your advantage since it looked like maybe the floating worm laser shooting aliens attacks were often just hitting behind you. Perhaps that also prevents the red ring attack. 🤔 My instinct is to backup a little so I can see the attacks coming in better from the periphery, but maybe I’m going about it wrong.

@Th3solution When I beat Nemesis I do remember being quite close to the front too.
