I guess I'm going to check with the big retailers in the US every day and see if anyone ever has any to sell. I can't go to a physical store to buy one on release day even if I wanted to, because my kids are home with online school.
@SirAngry Think it is the same story with the new graphics cards, if not worse. Nvidia admitted that stock would be extremely low this year. Then you have scalppers setting up bots to snap up all the stock.
Well I’m not in the first wave but game usually puts up later waves for pre-order. So hopefully I’ll be able to pre-order one for delivery after release day sometime soon.
I don’t really care when it arrives but I definitely want have one on order from somewhere before release day.
@JohnnyShoulder true, but Sweden is swimming in PC tech. It always is. Sweden has more Developers in it that the UK, and we tend to be tech whores. I already have my RTX 3080 actually set aside for me. I decided Sony can go whistle for now if they're not going to supply Sweden et al with decent numbers of units. I'll pick up a Louqe Ghost S1 case with top hat and build myself a nice little Lan party PC. If I do manage to get a PS5 for day 1 I'll probably pick it up as well, but right now? I'm not too upset.
@JohnnyShoulder that sucks mate. I'd be surprised if more batches don't open up at various points. If I catch any word of pre-orders appearing anywhere I'll send you a notification.
I've got about 6 different tabs open for the seperate sites, and email notifications for all of them. I've actually managed to get a PS5 into the basket on a few occasions but the site crashes either when i go to checkout or sign in. I had an email from one of the sites and it crashed when I clicked on the link lol.
I see a load have been put on ebay already, at extortionate prices. I think hate is a strong and overused word, but i hate the scalpers that do this.

I was super lucky yesterday in that I was on a client call at work and was able to refresh Amazon and get a pre-order in second before they ran out. It was pure luck I think and I was sat on a computer.
I also pre-ordered a camera as it occurred to me that we haven't heard anything about how PSVR connects etc. (or I have missed it!). I am hoping that it doesn't need the stupid box but would probably need the camera. I may cancel if it turns out I can use my PS4 camera. It also occurred to me I haven't ordered any games. Which I should probably do. I remember struggling to find Breath of the Wild physical when the Switch launched.
I hate all this lack of availaiblity and pre-ordering stuff. I also DETEST all the scalpers that pre-ordered just so they can try and rip people off.

@Rudy_Manchego PSVR requires an adapter for its camera to use on PS5, I've not seen anything about the PS5 camera working with PSVR but it does have 2 lenses so I'm hoping it is compatible.
The problem is all these shopping bots making it very easy for saclpers to jump ahead of genuine buyers, I'm guessing they don't work with Argos as they've had stock available for several hours now

@BearsEatBeets Cheers for the heads up. Looks like they have stock. I paid with it through PayPal and got a confirmation email from them, but Argos are still requesting payment? I will wait to see if I receive an email from Argos confirming the order.
