The PlayStation Portal handheld could become a more attractive purchase for a wider range of players in the future, as Sony will explore implementing cloud streaming support in the coming months.
Speaking to Japanese publication AV Watch, Sony's Hideaki Nishino spoke about the portable console, saying that Remote Play and cloud streaming only differ in terms of server location, so there are no technical hurdles to overcome to implement cloud streaming support. Therefore, Sony has only focused on Remote Play for the time being, but will investigate whether the console's functions can be expanded in the future.
