It'll be interesting to see how many units were actually sold after all this. Exactly how small was the stock allocation, or was the allocation fine but it was unbelievably popular?
Are you absolutely f*cking serious? Had it in my basket for a second time, this time with John Lewis. Literally at the verifying my card stage, as in the final stage of the order and it crashes and now it’s out of stock.
@nessisonett Yeah, you’re reliving my experience last week at our launch. Absolute madness.
@JohnnyShoulder I’ve been rechecking stock off and on this week. Looks like I might have a shot today, but I’m not holding my breath. Especially after hearing that you can even get all the way to the payment part of it and have the rug pulled out from under you at literally the last second.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Phew, my Amazon order has finally changed to being out for delivery.
@Mega-Gazz It's weird, though. Sometimes you do get places selling stuff you really don't expect. Homebase here sells furniture and stuff like that, but they also now sell games. Tesco sells food and household stuff like toilet paper and soap - but also games. I always thought it was funny that petrol stations sell flowers and charcoal too.
@Matroska yea, here in Canada one of the best places to pre-order PS5 - actually listed on Sony’s website - was a pharmacy. Moreover, because they had a bonus on their loyalty points that day, people ended up getting $180 worth of reward points for buying a ps5 on launch day from them.
