Ebay could help by restricting the prices of new or soon to be released items, as its happening with the latest Nvidia graphics which are on Ebay for £8000 a pop. And bids have been accepted for that. Its gonna be the same when the xboxes too unless something changes by next week.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah as annoying as those 'click on all the traffic lights' can be, if it eliminated scalpers using bots it would be worth it. If you're buying a pre-order from Ebay surely you wouldn't get it until a couple of days after release as well due to the seller having to repost it after receiving it.

@BearsEatBeets The scalper change the address on their pre-order with the legitimate retailer to the address of the customer.

@Ryall Maybe retailers should only deliver to the address of the payee. I've known some shops that do that.

With how much some people are paying, they should have just opted for pre-ordering the 24 carrot gold PS5. Then they’ve have something to show for all the extra money.

@I_Like_It Responding to you here as we've only just recently discussed the hard drive size here. The short answer is we don't really know for definite yet.

@JohnnyShoulder I thought Mark Cerny said during the GDC talk that it was 1TB was the confirmed capacity but it was 825GB for OS stuff? I think that's pretty likely as to why anyway

With regard to the hard-drive I'm pretty certain the 825gb is the full capacity as there was a distinct performance reason for the unusual size. So the OS will have to go on there. Hopefully they will surprise with a very efficient and intuitive OS that takes up little space.

Not surprised if Sony drops 'something' the day before xbox pre order.

@JJ2 Sony are going to have to start taking pre-orders for consoles to be delivered after release day at some point. Would make sense to do so before Xbox pre-orders start or people might start thinking “I can’t get a PlayStation maybe I should get a Xbox”.
