@MightyDemon82 Ok, that makes sense. I wouldn't want to be disturbed often while playing this either.
DLC? Good question. Since there's been nothing said about it since they hinted at DLC being done a while back (I think they did at least), I'd imagine sometime in 2023.
As for a sequel, I'd say probably in 2027 if the time between Zero Dawn and Forbidden West is any indication. It'll be something to see a fully new gen Horizon game.
@Wasted_Smuggler Usually I'd say Performance Mode since it would make combat and such more fluid, but given the shimmering issues with that mode that they have still failed to fix, I've been playing it in Resolution Mode for the vast majority of the game. While I replayed Zero Dawn in 60 FPS a few months before Forbidden West came out, I've gotten used to going back to 30 FPS for Horizon to the point where I don't even think about it at all while playing. It also doesn't hurt that it's drop dead gorgeous in Resolution Mode.
If you can still enjoy games at 30 FPS, I'd go with that unless it's really hard for you to enjoy games at the framerate anymore. Honestly, I'd start with that and then see if it's ok with you.

@KilloWertz Thank you for your advice. I've been struggling to play this game honestly, I think I just suck at it. I loved the first game though, and I want to see this game through to the end at least.
@MightyDemon82 Nice work on finishing the game and it sounds like you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I've got my fingers crossed for some DLC and I'm really looking forward to the third game to see how they wrap it all up. I know the story wasn't perhaps for everyone but I thought they did a really good job of coming up with something that managed to introduce plenty of twists and turns right to the end. Now that I've moved on to other games I think back to how well made that side of HFW is and how for me that really brought the characters and world to life in the way other games don't quite achieve.
@render yes it's a 10 out of 10 for me personally and I loved the characters introduced, I've heard others saying they are forgetful but I enjoyed spending time with each of them. Even some of the more miner characters like morlund, some folks also weren't fond of Aloy but I loved her. Her responses to characters in certain situations gave me a good laugh, it's cool that Aloy has a family of sorts now.
Still about 20% to go so I might start something small and mix it up but I can see myself just jumping in to take photos!
Platinum acquired, 137 hours 90.74% so still a few things to do before completely finished. I'll Probably start something little this weekend and use the forbidden west to relax and chill out in. All in all a fantastic experience with very little problems.
The one thing that was annoying was the hunting grounds trying to shoot off Tremortusk tusks, but at times they would clip underground when knocking it into the shocked state!
@voltan excited for pretty much anything Horizon related, VR will be insane in that world.
@MightyDemon82 Congrats. I basically never go for a platinum for a game, mainly because I don't have the patience and I also have too much of a backlog. I always want to move on to the next game no matter how much I love the game, hence why I still only have 1 platinum after all these years.
I may end up going for my $1.49 platinum if I have an extra half hour or so though (The Cow G). I doubt it though as I usually just get sucked in to Horizon Forbidden West on the weekends when I actually have several hours to play it.
I would love to play the VR game, although I'm undecided if I want to spend however many hundreds of dollars the PSVR2 will end up being, especially when I have so many other non-VR games to play. Obviously the Horizon game at least makes me consider it.

@KiloWertz You can get that one when you complete Arena trials.
@render Cheers, struggling with what to play next, Just back from a mini pub crawl with an old friend, ended up coming home with GOTG and Mario Kart 8, comics and a bag of lush stuff for the Mrs.
@RogerRoger Haha I can't Imagine my life would make for compelling reality t.v.
@MightyDemon82 Hey, you got 2 out of 3 right now. Close enough.
Maybe I did them after something else in the game frustrated me too, which would make it worse. I'll likely go back and try to do some of them again later and change the difficulty to Easy.
Kind of like what I did today for the one contract where you have to get the Stalker launchers with 40 other machines to fight while also trying to make sure you don't kill the Stalkers before getting the launchers. They might have overdone the amount of machines on that one.

@KilloWertz Haha obviously I was pretty tired last night and the alcohol wouldn't have helped either.
That was the last contract challenge I did, as the first time I came across it clamberjaws and clawstriders were always getting in my way. I just made sure I was super stealthy when I went back!
@MightyDemon82 Same here, except I guess I figured I might as well run in there arrows blazing. It only took two tries and roughly 45 minutes to finish. I'll admit it was nuts, but not in the best way. Oh well, it's done.
Since there's no trophy for doing them all, I don't remember if that was the last one for me too or if I have another. I do remember having all of the contracts now in my Documents though.
I kind of appreciate the fact that you get trophies for doing some of each thing since then you can skip doing everything if something is frustrating you, but at the same time it's kind of a bummer not getting rewarded if you are one that actually does everything. You'll likely be a rare person to actually 100% the game.
