@Thrillho Yeah, I had some help there and it was pretty cool. That arena battle went on for ages!! It was really satisfying finally overcoming it although, that seems to be a running theme with the game for me.
@KairuuuOkay cool, to recruit Shakra I need to do her mission first. Oh right, so I need to find Bilewater and get the map from her there. Oh... I need the double jump ability to find her there.
...and now I need to do some Path of Pain platforming while freezing to death with no checkpoints along the way?? sobs
I'm at the Act 3 final boss, no names/spoilers... but I am getting wrecked. Finally have a build I think will work for me, and regularly getting to the third/final phase - but wow it is tough. The hardest wall I've hit since Eigong...! (Nine Sols)
After stumbling into Act II wholly underprepared, I finally found my way back to the earlier areas and have been able to clear up some wishes, find an extra crest and upgrade the needle. I even got captured and thrown in prison! I’m rather elated after beating my head against a wall. Good luck @CJD87 The night is darkest before the dawn 👊

@Kairuuu Going back to it, the platforming wasn’t too bad, particularly as I’d given up for the night just before the first bench so at least didn’t have to keep redoing the whole thing. I also came to peace with losing all my rosaries 😁
The double jump is quite cool but the controls seem a bit iffy as it feels like I have to do a double jump before I can glide so have jumped up into spikes a few times. Not sure if that’s just me though..
@Thrillho The most annoying thing about Mount Fay for me wasn't necessarily the platforming, but the time constraint. It really just added that extra pressure.
Having to double jump before gliding does take some getting used to. Initially I was able to glide without double jumping by holding down while jumping to glide straight away, but I think that's since been changed.
I think you'll get used to it eventually but it is a little annoying.
@Thrillho Nicely done - you'll be in act III in no time! It's awesome that you had Shakra help you, whereas I had assistance from Garmond & Zaza. They're all really cool NPC's and getting help from them is always a cool moment.
I have a video clip of my successful attempt of that arena battle. The last big guy died to my Sting Shard a millisecond before he was about kill me. I had honestly accepted my fate at that point but when he died to the Sting Shard I honestly screamed. I don't think I can upload video clips here but if I'm ever able to show you I absolutely will.
EDIT: (Off topic, what website do you use to upload your images? I used Imgur a long time ago but they've stopped operating in the UK for... reasons. I've got some cracking Ghost of Yōtei shots that I wanna post here.)

I chucked loads of poisoned tacks down before those guys landed and then kept chucking those and poisoned sting shards too. As you can see above, I was one hit away from failure too.
Shakra is super strong though and it only took me a few attempts with her. I'm glad I looked up doing the gauntlet more easily rather than tearing my hair out doing it solo.
I had one go at the boss after "ascending" but that's me done for the night.
I actually kind of want to continue my Switch 2 playthrough. I think I'm at the beginning of the Blasted Steps but I genuinely can't remember. I definitely feel like it has been going quicker which is to be expected if you know what's coming next.
I'm jumping about in other games and have a few books to get through at the moment, but I'm still slowly making progress. The shear amount of bosses is crazy. I have about 6 or 7 to choose from, last time I played I beat a very fiery boss. I've forgotten how to do spoiler tags so will leave it at that, I need to decide which boss to focus on next. It can be overwhelming, but I want to see as much as possible before I race to the finish. I could easily just do the main path but I'm enjoying the game and don't want it to end too soon.
There is a lot to this game and this is before considering any potential DLC content being added in future. You’re definitely not short of options when it comes to knowing what to do but I can definitely see how it can be overwhelming.
@Kairuuu Ha, similar ending to mine but I think both guys went down from my poisoned tacks at the same time!

@MightyDemon82 Hopefully my spoiler tag free posts don’t give anything away for you. To use them it’s just (spoiler) and (/spoiler) but in [square brackets] rather than round ones, and you need to spoil each paragraph if it’s a lengthy post.
But yes, the game can go off in so many tangents. It’s so easy to not even realise a whole area exists which can then have multiple paths, bosses etc. God knows if I’ll ever even 100% my one run with how much there is to do!
@Kairuuu I'm still in Act 2 at the moment as I've been backtracking to pick some things up.
I went to the Putrified Ducts and finally managed to make it to the special flea in there and also got the apostate key so been back to The Slab as well.
But The First Sinner is a great boss fight! I got a bit overexcited thinking I'd beat them first time round. WRONG. I enjoyed it enough that I saved a video, although I only saved 3 minutes as I didn't realise it had taken so long (I also had quite a few strategic mini pauses to let the adrenaline settle too..)
@Kairuuu It was nice to not have a boss that just threw out mobs! And quite fun that it was essentially the same moveset but getting faster and faster.
@MightyDemon82 I haven't attempted that wish actually. Maybe I'll have to do that next.
I'm aware some content disappears in Act 3 (although I don't know what) so trying to do anything I can think of first.
