Hey all, it's Monday so here's the midweek fastest lap challenge. A quick reminder for anyone that hasn't taken part yet, each week I'll pick a different track and car combination - hopefully one that we've all got from playing the campaign or one that isn't too expensive from the used car or brand central dealers and we then see who out of all of us can set the fastest lap with it using the TT mode on the specific track. It's open to anyone from novice to seasoned players and is just a bit of fun with the only prize on offer being the feeling of smugness knowing that you've beaten your fellow Push Square forum members.
As we all missed out on driving the Alfa yesterday I've only gone and included one in the challenge this week. Perhaps as it's an Alfa it's more a question of whether you will get to the end rather than how fast but this one should be interesting.
Track: Alsace - Village Reverse Car: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione '08 Settings: Default settings sheet (if you think you might have changed settings just create a new sheet) Tyres: Sports Hard Time of day: 04:45 Method:
The idea is to go in blind, no practice using the track / car combo before hand and no restarting - this is going to rely on everyone being honest as there's really no way to police this. Any day Monday to Thursday this week go to World Circuits, select the track followed by Time Trial -
Select the specific time of day -
Select the car and tyres -
You've got 5 laps to put together a solid lap time. Once you've crossed the line on the 5th lap exit the time trial and take a screenshot of the times screen as per this example:
Upload the image to Twitter or another sharing service e.g. imgur.com and post the link here. Please try and leave it till Friday to post your screenshot so as not to influence other peoples times but I can appreciate that this won't always be possible e.g. going on holiday. I'll take a look at all the screenshots and pick the driver with the fastest lap and they will be awarded the prize of being a Smug G(i)T and be able to bask in the glory of their achievement for an entire week before we start all over again.
Please let me know if you are thinking of taking part as it'd be great to gage interest, otherwise your time starts now - good luck getting to the end.
Push Square GT7 Fastest Lap Challenge - results week 6
There we go, week 6 all wapped up. Sorry the results are slightly late this time round but that's what happens when you get into a heated game of Hunt: Showdown. Without further ado it's time to see who was the Alpha Alfa.
There's quite a few missing from this weeks challenge so I'll probably see how it goes next week and then make a call as to whether to put it down for a bit. Hopefully catch you guys for the next one.
Hey all, it's Monday so here we go. This might be the last one I publish for a while as uptake has been slow so hopefully this will be an enjoyable one. This one should be easy, should be. Of course it will probably turn out to be anything but, especially when you try and go faster.

So good luck everyone, use that "High Performance" to the max.
@Quintumply Bad luck, hope you weren't too ill with it and you are feeling better now. It's better now it's less of an issue for the majority of people but still can hit you quite hard regardless of age / fitness etc. Looking forward to seeing your time this week 😀
@Kairu Hopefully it should be a lot of fun this time round 👍
Push Square GT7 Fastest Lap Challenge - results week 7
And that's it, week 7 done. We got a good spread of results again this week but they were very close at the top with just a few tenths separating them.
@Elodin I’m as casual as it gets. I played loads when I first bought the game and really enjoyed all the single player content. Even though I’m playing less now I’ve still got plenty to do as well as dipping in and out of the sport races. What keeps me most interested are the push square race nights which are just great fun.
@render@Kairu Thank you both. I think Ill buy it. Not sure if ill join the races as I don't mic up and live in Central standard timezone. Now to contend with what to delete for the huge file size that is GT7.
@Elodin I'm in central too and have just recently bought the game. My biggest hurdle with online races in games like this is the fear of driving so poorly I ruin others' races lol. But maybe I'll give it a go.
I have played quite a bit of GT in the past though so not brand new. I will admit that this time around I've been trying cockpit view rather than the chase view I've always stuck with and that has me wondering... what does everyone else use? Is the consensus that chase view is kinda cheesing it or is it considered just as valid a view?

Hey all, can't believe it's been 8 weeks of this already but here we are. I was questioning last week whether to do another one but with GT7 going on sale and a few people commenting on the thread recently I thought I'd do a few more at least. A quick reminder for anyone that hasn't taken part yet, each week I pick a different track and car combination - hopefully one that we've all got from playing the campaign or one that isn't too expensive from the used car or brand central dealers and we then see who out of all of us can set the fastest lap with it using the TT mode on the specific track. I've gone for a car unlocked really early in the menus this week and one that I know you all have been waiting for me to include for so long.
