@Keith_Zissou Probably a bit of both. It’s always satisfying to beat bosses fairly and I did get it to a sliver of health the last couple of tries but yeah, glad it’s over 😂

@R1spam that's how I managed to beat that one too lol - I'd got sick of trying to fight him and was just trying to run past, and he fell off the lift . At first I thought he'd survived the fall until the shield popped up

That's Godfrey down on my second attempt. Weakling!

Those knights around the capital still keep murdering me though, lol.

After upgrading 15 times or so, my Nagakiba now has A-rank scaling with Dexterity as well.

@R1spam NPC invaders tend to be morons. Really easy to cheese their AI.

@R1spam he was all wrong for my slow-swinging UGS build… he was just parrying me for fun. Half the time he’d just parry me and stand there without finishing me off as if to say “Ha ha” 😅

@colonelkilgore what's weird is that shield doesn't have parry on it when you get it! It has no ability, which is cool as i can hit L2 and use my ashes of war. I kept living up to my username and he nailed me with parrys too 🤷‍♂️

@R1spam Yes some shields don't have parry attached (or any other ability) so you can use your sword special without going double handed!

@velio84 Yeah I think im going to do that, I got so close to beating him one time, but some of his attack just mess me up, I almost killed him, and I can get him to his 2nd phase no problem.

I've just realised the horse can double jump. Game-changer.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

Bahaha, I beat Morgott on my first try!

Got tired of the cryptic nonsense in the Ranni questline, so I ended up looking up what to do next, and am now in Nokstella, the other white meat Eternal City

Also gained access to the Mountaintops of the Giants. The first ruin there is another solid grinding spot. It's prowling with enemies as powerful as minibosses, but they drop 5k exp each, and you can use a summon there. Mimic Tear really shines here, since it can take some of the heat off of you.

@Ralizah Did you not find the big gaping hole in the ground naturally then 😂

Well, I've managed to play a few hours today and beat the last boss in the academy. There's a whole section I missed though as I sprinted through it, I'll have to head back. I'm going on holiday for a week and while I can't wait to go, I've been really enjoying my time with Elden Ring and just roaming the world, finding crazy stuff. I love how you could have been someplace before and go back at a different time of day and some boss you've never seen will appear. This game properly got its hooks into me 😂

@nessisonett The hole leads to Nokron.

Accessing Nokstella is a fair bit more involved and requires the player to be significantly deeper in Ranni's questline.

@Ralizah Well of course there are two areas with incredibly similar names, my bad 😂

@nessisonett The game requires a few leaps of logic in that questline, IMO, but there are also some cool dungeons on the way. The inverted study hall feels like something out of Symphony of the Night, lol.

@Ralizah The study hall having more to it definitely crossed my mind. Especially after wandering through it only to find nothing 😅

@Voltan Seems like your post fell flat, but I'll give it some love. I'm sure that's how some people feel while playing their games at times.

I wasn't expecting horse platforming to feature so much in the game. And for it to be so much fun. 🐎

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
