As for the size and shape, Sony have said the below, so I am not worried about it being comfortable.
""In all, we went through several concepts and hundreds of mockups over the last few years before we settled on this final design," says Sony, "DualSense has been tested by a wide range of gamers with a variety of hand sizes, in order for us to achieve the comfort level we wanted, with great ergonomics.
"Our goal with DualSense is to give gamers the feeling of being transported into the game world as soon as they open the box [and] to feel like the controller is an extension of themselves when they're playing - so much so that they forget that it's even in their hands!"

Funny people saying they'll be forever cleaning a white one. First of all, how dirty are you people? And second of all, the black one is just hiding all that muck, you know. Best you see it sooner and give them a wipe down than live in blissful ignorance.
@kyleforrester87 White controllers can't handle my orange Cheeto fingers.
No, but seriously, my white Wii controller is starting to yellow and look dirty, you can't clean that, it's the plastic itself. My black Wii controller still looks perfectly fine!
@Octane I guess it depends on the material. I have had the white Xbox One S controller for nearly 2 years now and it hasn't faded and looks clean (and until Covid 19 I never washed my hands).
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@kyleforrester87@Rudy_Manchego@Octane This is one of the reasons I put silicone skins on my controllers. Sweaty hands in the hotter days and intense gaming moments.

@Octane Well I mean my Wii remotes discoloured quickly and got dirty was my personal memory and my point my XB1 s controller looks good as new despite some hefty use.
That said any controller loses it’s shine after awhile. I wonder if there will be a range of colours?

To be honest I clean my controller fairly often anyway, I hate a grubby controller. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to remove that little groove down the sides where the different parts join. I find that's a nice little collector of dead skin cells, I use an old dental scrapper to clean it out. Also it would be handy if you could disable the PS button for cleaning, I've accidentally turned on my PS4 many a time when doing so.
Having had a good zoomed in look I do really like the form of it. The colour is pretty much insignificant and I have full confidence it will feel good in hand.
@BearsEatBeets Yep, I actually prefer the white DS4 because it’s easier to see the grimey stuff. I use a wooden toothpick very carefully inside the groove.
Happy with the design - hate the colour and the loss of the coloured buttons.
On the adaptive triggers: here's my major issue. I have two DS4 controllers which have BOTH been repaired by me - specifically the triggers and the springs themselves. Both of my controllers now have painted aluminum L1/L2 with stronger springs - never had a problem since.
So while this feature sounds really cool, my concern is durability as the DS4 proved this to be a weak spot (quite literally) in its design.
Second issue - USB-C charge port. By looks, the front charge port is now gone and the USB has been changed to C - for those who aren't familiar with USB-C, it's really quite unreliable when it comes to wear-and-tear. The friction of the plug itself isn't great and over time the ports seem more prone to shorting than its predecessors. I'm basing this on other USB-C devices I've had for the better part of three years. Now this COULD be helped by wireless charging but the issue with wireless is that you lose the speed.
Bottom line - totally happy with the direction but I need to be convinced that they have put equal thought into build and durability as I'd imagine the DS5 is going to be a step more expensive than the DS4.
One last thing - i sincerely hope they will have a software option to turn off that damn light!!
I think the controller looks great, hd rumble (err haptic response sorry) looks awesome and everything else spies on me in my home so why not add my gaming controller onto the list of things with a mic that can listen to me at home! I quite like the white and hope the battery is more like switch pro controller than DS4. Seen as it's nearly standard in most decent phones, can we get wireless charging and charge sharing between controllers??
Not sure if it's just me but I always experience issues with the L2 and R2 buttons on all my PS3 and PS4 controllers. Everything else still works fine but those two buttons are always the first to break. Hopefully the DualSense ones are more durable.
@R1spam Don't be silly, that's sounds way too much like common sense. Instead we get a light that a small percentage of users actually use and are given no option to turn off.

@Arugula definitely hope they surprise us with built in back buttons! We've become very used to them and they make a HUGE difference once you wrap your head around them. I'd have no problem paying $80 for DualSenses if they're integrated in. Probably wishful thinking but guess we'll see in due time!
