Apologies if this has been asked already. But I've just downloaded Days Gone from the PS Plus Collection.

Having already played it before and expecting to go back into it on PS5 and play NewGame+, I was surprised when I loaded the game up that it hasn't recognised any of my saves. Even though on the Home page it shows the trophies I've earned and the percentage I have completed.

Anyone else had this issue?

You have to manually download your saves from cloud storage. I had the same thing with Ghost. It threw me of as IIRC it did it automatically on PS4. Or are you saying you've done that and it still doesn't work?

No i haven't done that. Although I had a look in the settings and couldn't see how. What's the process? Do you just move saves from cloud storage to console storage?

@HMazzy111 Settings - Save Game Data and Game/App Settings - Saved Data (PS4) - Cloud Storage - Download to Console Storage.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

That doesn't seem to have worked. Still no sign of previous saves when I start up the game. Just the single option for New Game.

I only started Days Gone on the ps5, so I can’t comment directly - but for Borderlands 3 which actually got a ps5 version, the two keep saves completely separate and even if you download your ps5 saves it won’t see them. You have to use a migration tool the dev provided.

That said, Days Gone isn’t native ps5, so shouldn’t have this issue.

@Mega-Gazz I did wonder about whether the two would be separate, but its the PS4 version downloaded from PS collection so should work with my old ps4 saves fine.

Honestly the game has surprised me - I thought it was going to be another generic open world game starring a badass gruff white dude, and the marketting was all like “lots of zombies! Biker dude!”.... but they’ve done a fantastic job on several fronts - particularly developing characters that present initially as 2-dimensional stereotypes into well rounded people, and making every mission make sense to the plot as a whole. I really like how even the side quests fit into the story and there is no collecathons.

That said, I can’t imagine a reason to do NG+ really once the story is done.

@Mega-Gazz I agree! I was hugely impressed with it when I played it originally and it was one of the games I was really looking forward to replaying on PS5.

Its been over a year since I played it so there will be bits I missed or don't remember at all.
