@Anti-Matter Enjoy Ratchet & Clank PS4! I had never played any of the previous one, but I thought it was very enjoyable. A bit on the shorter side perhaps, but lots of witty fun dialogue and weapons to keep you entertained throughout.
@Zuljaras Love the first Dishonored! Getting it at a heavy discount is nothing but a steal. I hope you get along well with it, and I'd love to hear your thoughts when you give it a go.
@RogerRoger Great! Be sure to update with your impressions when you get around to it. Tonally, it's the most horror-esque traditional game in the series (i.e. not DOOM 3), but that's mostly down to use of color, music, and sound design. There's really no more viscera in this than there is in any of the other old DOOM games.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Had a go on the FF7 and Resi 3 demos. Both great fun, has me hyped up for them. Although I think it's fair to say Resi is the winner if you have a spectator watching, as the combat is more immediate and fluid. And nailing those dodges feels awesome.
Resisting playing Persona 5 is going to be difficult! Although it's probably in my mailbox, actually playing it will have to wait as I won't finish such a big game before Final Fantasy VII Remake is out. Really looking forward to starting it. The original Persona 5 is amazing and this looks even better!
Just got A Plague Tale: Innocence in the sale. I've had my eye on it for a while and the price convinced me to get it as I've slimmed my backlog a bit looks like some newer stuff might be further away now. Resi 3 is in the post but if it doesn't arrive before I finish Control I might start this before.
@RogerRoger Cool, good to know. Resi 3 still hasn't arrived so won't get that until Monday at the earliest. Think I might play Plague first then as it's quite short too. Just got a few trophies to mop up in Control first.
Resident Evil 3 arrived in the mail today. While it's a shame I couldn't get a steelbook to match 2, the lenticular sleeve is pretty cool. I've started A Plague Tale now so I'll finish that before I start Resi. Hopefully get it to it this weekend to kick off my holiday week .
@BearsEatBeets Enjoy A Plague Tale! I'd be happy to know your thoughts. I finished it recently as well and thought it was really well done. Certainly a very different type of horror than Resident Evil 3 though, haha.
@Davehunt is that Infamous Second Son or the original PS3 Infamous? Either way you’re in for a treat.
Also the MGS V games are really great and TPP in one of my favorites. If you feel a little underwhelmed by Ground Zeros don’t worry, TPP really opens up and is quite a bigger and more intricate experience. GZ is a must-play in order to really understand TPP though.
I’ll be interested to read your opinions on your new purchases!
