@BAMozzy: " I would never bother wasting my time on 'speed runs' (like Uncharted has) because I want to enjoy my time in these - I am sure I would get very pi55ed off if I missed out by a few seconds and wasted 5-6hrs rushing through... "

This happened to me twice on an uncharted 1 level, after that I couldn't muster the courage and stupidity to try the others. I ended up with one speed run from U3 completely flukey at the airfield when you push the car to the window and run through the rest. At the time I needed to switch the ps4 off and go to bed so gave myself one last life. Boom did it. Didn't even realise it was a trophy.

@KratosMD: Yes I agree, but also that comes down to the amount of GS I gave up on when I switched to PS4 Bronze trophies are crap I totally agree with that.

Picked up the Rocket League Platinum one the other day there. After unlocking 150 items. Great game

As for trophies in general, it's rare I can play a game for the sake of playing it these days. If I don't get a trophy within the first few hours, I tend to shy away from it.

I miss my gamerscore but will never regret coming back home to PS.

@daveofduncan: Rocket League is amazing, I had to delete the game to play some others. Its no surprise I had withdrawal symptoms and didn't want to play anything else for a couple of days after deleting it. As a dad its my go to game as its so quick, baby asleep - boom quick 5 minute game, wifes gone shops - boom a few quick games etc etc. Great platinum too as its pretty hard with the aerial shot unless you clock flying quickly and the 500km trophy takes longer than you think.

@themcnoisy: I must've actually flooked the aerial goal trophy if it's in the main trophies. I noticed it on the dlc trophies though for the Utopia dlc?!

Agreed though. It's random and chaotic most of the time but it's a blast.

I finally have the Fallout 4 platinum! It's a great trophy list (if you ignore the broken settlement system), that really encourages you to delve deep into the game. I found exploring, scavenging for magazines and bobbleheads the most fun to be had as the quests were kind of a let down most of the time.

I'm Level 15 with 68% percent completion and 2,238 trophies, not bad considering I've only been playing since early 2014.

@PlaytendoGuy: Almost the same level as me. I only have 1900 trophies though so wonder what happened there?

Did anyone used to enjoy Call of duty 4 / mw2 trophy lists? I did it encouraged veteran play over a few levels at a time, as a trophy would pop every 3 or so levels for completing them on the veteran difficulty. On the other hand Completing the whole of advanced warfare again on veteran for only 1 trophy seems a slim reward compared to the older games and I'm struggling to motivate myself to do it - anyone else have this issue?

@KratosMD: All the MW series of games are doable on veteran (bar one cod 4 level but I will come onto that in a sec). Each veteran level can take an hour and a half if you play them like I do - slow, methodical and tactically. Which is fine when you snaffle achievements / trophies every couple of levels. Cod 4 has infinite enemy spawns on a couple of levels mw2 onwards have finite enemies so as long as you clear each area one enemy at a time you will finish the game. There's one level in cod 4 late on set around a building with multiple dogs and 3 infinite enemy spawn points, snipers and you have to wait for 2 or 3 minutes while its going crackers around you. I've come so close 5 or 6 times and its the only level ive truly given up on. I must have died 1000 times. mw2 is hard but rewarding, mw3 is really easy bar a couple of sticking points again towards the end. Advanced warfare is similar in difficulty to mw2 but without the trickle of trophies to motivate you to finish it on veteran. There's too many games worthy of the 10 hours I need to put in for that solitary gold trophy.

@themcnoisy: Trophies are weighted differently in terms of levelling up, as far as I'm aware. So somebody who platinums every game they play could be a higher level than somebody that has way more trophies, but with most of them being bronze.

I think I'm a level 22 with something like 6,000 trophies but I know people who are a higher level with less trophies because they complete games more thoroughly.

At least I think that's how it works.

Have to agree that I dislike trophies that ask for another full playthrough on another difficulty setting but only offer 1 measly trophy for it.

Wolfenstein: The New Order was quite good as there were two narrative threads you could follow which affected cut scenes, so you could get the hardest difficulty level and other trophies and see something new.

The trophy system is totally and utterly broken now...yesterday the trophy system was completely down and today it's back up, however you can't initialize trophy data for any of your new games that you have purchased/played for the first time after the trophy server outage...WTF is going on?!

Earned the Platinum on No Man's Sky over the weekend. Not difficult, but time consuming (the survival trophy was awful). Decent game. Unfortunately, it wasn't priced properly IMO and would have been a nice game at £20.

Finally decided to spend some currency to get the final Decked Out trophy for Overwatch for my 43rd Platinum.

Ah, trophies. A wonderous gaming pastime and simultaneously the bane of a gamer's existence.

I'm not a serious trophy hunter, but I do like to go for platinums whenever I think I can get one. It can help add replayability to a game, but I mostly go for plats in games I enjoy.

Currently I'm sitting at 11 platinums, with Assassin's Creed 2 being the latest. I'm actually kinda proud of it since I found all of the feathers without a guide.

Playing through Nuka World DLC at the moment. The trophies here are both good and bad. Some are encouraging me to try out different aspects of the environment which I wouldn't usually spend much time on, such as mixing nuka cola and the side quests. However, some actually make me play against my characters "ethics". Takes away from the role playing element somewhat.

Got the platinum The Wolf Among Us on Vita this week (this is the best Telltale game I've played - actually felt like I was doing something rather than just walking around and picking up random objects to bulk out the runtime 'cough' TWD). Really great game.

Also finally managed to finish off the Platinum on Far Cry 4 - needed to rope in a friend to do the two co op trophies and we spent most of that time trying to set each other on fire but finally got there.

Next challenge - platinum all three Bioshock games. See you next christmas.

I still need those two! Nobody ever wanted to co-op with me.

@Kidfried: It was a bit anticlimatic - I game at irregular times so took ages to plan a suitable time. When we finally got together, I was like ok I need to take down a car and take out an outpust. That took about 5 mintues and then it was just messing around.
