I'm looking for a headset with 7.1 surround ability that works for ps4 and ps5. I would like a list of compatible headsets.
I have read about the Steelseries Arctis 7p and the pro version, any experience on them?
Or could you just recommend any other headset that is surround compatible?
I have limited experience with headsets, but have owned and enjoyed both of Sony's official PS4 wireless headsets before. They're the Gold and Platinum models (am currently rocking the latter) and both offer 7.1 virtual surround sound, as well as benefit from an app you can install on your PS4 to manage preferences and download custom sound profiles for specific, first-party games.
My friend uses a Gold for a wider range of things away from her PS4, pairing it with her laptop and phone on a regular basis, so it's adaptable and useful when not gaming, as well.
I know I sound like a Sony shill here, but I like 'em. Obviously shop around!

Yeah i've read a lot of good reviews on the pulse headsets, the problem is that they are so ugly according to me I'm basically looking for headsets from steelseries, the arctis models to be exact. Some say that most of the headsets are supporting 3d sound but i can't find any info that is verifying that
I have just recently ordered the Steelseries Arctis Pro with GameDAC. It is on sale on their website for £159 right now which is what I was ready to pay for the Arctis 7P’s anyway, and I personally prefer wired headsets. Just the old school in me.
Anyway, it basically explains they are all ready for PS5 3D sound, except their is an update to download for the pro’s via PC.
