Managed to defeat the first boss with randoms earlier today. Took us around 3 hours I think. Not only do you need good builds but your team has to be very coordinated. Had to stop for the second (after an hour) because it was getting late for me.

One of the gear sets apparently is very good. Plus of course the new exotic AR which everyone's trying to get. Already defeated both 2nd and 3rd bosses as well. Gonna maybe try the final boss this weekend.

Gunner Specialisation requirements if you didn't purchase the Year-1 Pass.

Here are the steps you'll need to complete:

Stage 1

Shock Roach twice before defeating him in Bank Headquarters.

Capture all Downtown West control points with the Sharpshooter specialization active.

Defeat 20 enemies using the mounted gun in Grand Washington Hotel.

Use only marksman rifles to complete five public execution activities.

Stage 2

Set Lt. Kelly on fire three times before defeating him in Air & Space Museum.

Capture all Southwest control points with the Survivalist specialization active.

Defeat 25 enemies trapped in foam.

Stage 3

Break Sgt. Wade's helmet before defeating him in Viewpoint Museum.

Capture all Downtown East and Federal Triangle control points with the Demolitionist specialization active.

Defeat 25 enemies while they are confused.

Stage 4

Defeat General Ridgeway in the Capitol Stronghold without using an armor kit.

Defeat five heavy weapons enemies in the open world.

Defeat enemies highlighted with Pulse.

Use only an assault rifle to complete five territory control activities.

Stage 5

Destroy all of Basilisk's armor before defeating him on Roosevelt Island.

Use the mounted weapon to kill enemies in the Roosevelt Island stronghold.

Yeah, I think I'll pass...

So this game is $20 at GameStop this week and I am thinking of picking it up. However before I do I want to know how solo friendly is this game?

@Tasuki Yup, you can solo most missions but there's also matchmaking for pretty much every mission (PvE or PvP) except for the raid. However, you might need to matchmake for higher difficulty missions if you don't have good gears.

@Tasuki If it is anything like the first game, like @WanderingBullet says some missions will quite difficult without a squad although not impossible.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Just a heads up if anyone is looking to get this game or has been thinking about getting like I have, this week only GameStop is selling it brand new for both the PS4 and Xbox One for $5. If you are inclined to get it on Xbox One, the MS store has it for $3 digitally.

It's 3 bucks in PSN as well. Basically F2P at this point for the base game.

Genrou

@redd214 That good to know. Maybe I will double dip then if I enjoy soloing it and if it's soloable.

Genrou

@Genrou the main campaign is definitely doable solo. Once you get into the endgame/higher difficulties maybe not so much. Though there's matchmaking for pretty much everything in the game (besides the raid).

Thrillho

@Genrou I played the game almost exclusively solo but it is certainly easier with others (unless they're the sort of numpties I normally end up playing with..)

I barely touched the Dark Zone and it isn't as prominent as the first game if you played that.

Thrillho

@redd214 @Thrillho Ok that good to know. That was the main reason I got it on Xbox was because all my friends have it on Xbox and I didn't want to end up needing people to play.

@TowaHerschel7 no, online connection is required to play the game. No portion is available offline
