@themcnoisy: You should not count remasters because the games were remastered because of the fact they were food. I have the Uncharted collection myself and highly enjoyed the game and can't wait for Uncharted 4 beta to release. But I do not believe you should count remasters due to the fact they had their recognition when they were released.

@iSillyBoiJudas: Good point and it is something we (as the forum members) on a separate place holder thread which has now been locked debated briefly. It quickly dawned on me that if any thread or topic excludes what people want to really say and vote for then they get annoyed so I wouldn't want to tow a policy or rule which I would be referring back to, or worse still - referring forum users back to. Remaster, addon, re-release, port, remake - they are all included. I could have potentially been dealing with loads of case by case games, then deciding if they fit the remit or not. Whey bother? Everything's included as long as its been released In 2015.

I find Toukiden to be one of those games where I'll play it when I've burned out on other games, so it'll be one of those ones that lasts for years because I play it on and off again.

Dragon Quest Heroes is because it pretty much nailed what I expect from the series quality wise while offering a completely different style of gameplay.

Tales of Zestiria is because I really enjoy the series, though I do find myself wishing the older battle style (as in, Symphonia/Abyss/Vesperia) would make a triumphant return in a later game.

@themcnoisy: I didn't get to play a ton of games this year, and a lot of them didn't impress me a whole ton. I can't vote for Fallout 4 either because I haven't played past the intro yet.

1. The Witcher 3 - It's up there with the best games I've ever played

2. FFXIV Heavensward - Decent story, great music, fun times.
