To me sounds like exactly the content that was "found" or "leaked" a while back. I truly hope that the story in this will paint a clearer, wider picture. What about Rasputin the AI? What about the Queen and her jerk brother? There are so many pieces of a once great puzzle that still need to be uncovered or aligned correctly within the narrative. To me the rumours about how Destiny was crippled shortly before release and was to be a completely different game sound reasonable so I hope I'll get some more of my money's (and most importantly: expectations) worth.

What I find funny that Blizzard at one time tradedmarked The Dark Below and everyone thought it was the next expansion for WoW. Of course nothing has come out of it as of now but who knows.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the narrative of The Dark Below will plug up any plot holes from the main game. Instead, it seems to be a standalone tale that deals with Crota - the same Hive guy who the sword belongs to.
Bit of a shame, but I'm hoping that it's at least better told. The lore seem to be in place -- Destiny just needs a bit more exposition, maybe even a bit of exploration to convey what's going on, rather than going to a point and fighting.
We'll definitely have a review of this come December. If anyone's tempted but unsure, we'll try our best to give a fair verdict!
