well, I almost cut my finger off, it was pretty gnarly, it was hanging literally by a thread, of skin. guess not a thread but a patch.
it's going to be a while before I can use it like I used to, and that leaves my PS4 XB1 and Wii U to collect dust for a couple of months. But the silver lining is that I can still manage to place games on my PC, BUT, I've only recently started played games on my PC and so I have no idea what to play. my computer isn't the most powerful but I can run Guildwars 2 perfectly and ESO basically perfectly. I have enough MMORPG to last me a good long time but i'm craving something else, but the trick is it needs to be handled reasonably easily. any suggestions? thanks in advance for the help
Sorry to hear of your misfortune & hope you have a swift recovery.
Onto PC games, ofcourse the MMO's are designed to keep a person busy for.... ever - and there is certainly a large choice of FTP's around. But those aside; Grim Dawn - ARPG (same creators of Titan Quest) Football Manager 2014 - one hand job Crusader Kings 2 - Epic game! FTL - Addictive Indie What about a good old Point and Click? - Still Life,Syberia, The Longest Journey, Broken Sword, Back to the Future etc... The Sims ? Mount and Blade - Fun combat, but with that finger of yours, just get a load of villagers to do the fighting for you Neo Scavenger - Get the demo first - pretty in depth survival indie game, not about graphics though Euro Truck Simulator 2 - just because it can take hours of traffic queueing to get from Germany to England - unless you don't care about the cargo. Hello Kitty online - Get on the leaderboards with me GOG.com and play the classic AD&D games like Baldurs Gate, Torment, Icewind Dale etc... To The Moon - Made in RPG Maker X but dont worry, its awesome. Terraria Minecraft is suppose to be fun - Not played it myself though Im all out... Hope you find something to fill your time - let me know what you end up playing
And to think I thought 6 months was bad not playing. I'm so sorry to hear about your injury and I hope you recover as swiftly as possible. Thankfully, you will be better just in time for the Q4 AAA releases.
As your looking to use up quite a bit of time, I would recommend League of Legends. It's free to play, highly strategical and even more fun if you can rope your friends in to join you. The best part about it though is as you get better at playing, the game changes drastically as you reach the next level of play so you shouldn't find yourself getting bored.
I reccomend Mount & Blade: Warband (Get this), Orcs Must die 1&2, Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic 1&2, Civilization's 4&5 are good, Minecraft, Tropico 4 is good from what I've played of it, and Morrowind. I should probably give something more than get X and Y here. (No pun intended.)
Mount & Blade: Warband. (ARPG) A great game. It medival sandbox game. No fantasy elements either, just cold hard steel. You do whatever you want in the game. There is no story for you, you make your own. You lead your own army too, but you participate directly in battles. It had a demo that's gives the while game until you reach level 8 too. Orcs Must Die! (Tower defense/ third person action) 1/2. Great tower defense and action game. Very enjoyable. I personally liked the first one best, but both are great. If you get the first one, I reccomend doing so with the DLC. KOTOR 1/2. (WRPG) Essentially Mass effect spiritual prequel with choices. You can be good or evil, with multiple choices for virtually every conversation. The combat and stuff is basically a modified verison of D&D. Civilazations 4&5 (strategy) are great stategy games, very open ended as replayable. I reccomend 5 unless you get 4 because it's cheaper. Tropico 4. (City building strategy)You play as a dictator on a tropical island. Fun, with some good depth. The game has a good sense of humor too. Morrowind (WRPG, open world) The Elder Scrolls 3. Very engaging, great lore and world to explore with many interesting quests. Really sucks you in. Combat stinks, but it's still worth it. (It just rolls dice to see if you hit or not.)
Sorry to hear that mate, best wishes for your recovery go out to you. As about the games, I'd approach PC gaming a bit differently, look for games that you can't play on console. That would mean the already mentioned Civilization games, they are huge timesinks and once you got the hang of it really really deep strategically. Also Nicola mentioned League of Legends, while she is right that it's lots of fun you also need to know, its HIGHLY competitive, takes a while until you get into and the community is as unwelcoming as you can imagine (noob, stay in your lane). You have Guildwars and ESO, good, if this isn't enough already for you I'd try Wildstar, it's in Open Beta right now. Also I'd look into some adventure games, like the Sherlock Holmes games, they're good. If you haven't already played it, you can get LA Noire really cheaply on steam and it will run fabulously on your PC. Also look into the strategic titles that you don't get on your PS4. Older or newer Command & Conquer games maybe, or Starcraft (you can play the first few levels for free to see if you like it, just download the client from Blizzard). That's all of an advice I can think of now. Good luck with your fingers mate! ;(

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
Aw man, get well soon! From personal experience: don't underestimate the importance of proper rehab and training after surgery to make sure full function returns.
Concerning good games: Hearthstone comes to mind. It's a f2p card game by Blizzard and very well done.
Don't know if those kind of games are your cup of tea, but the game is very well done and the f2p aspect is very balanced, meaning you can play and win the game eventually without having to pay money. And since it's a card game, you only use your mouse, so you should easily be able to play it.

Just started playing it today and I'm about to wipe my PC clean and reinstall Windows, because even HS doesn't run smooth. A friend of mine is seriously hooked on the game and I'm expecting to be, too very soon.
seriously, thanks to everyone for the support and the recommendations.
@Reverend_Skeeve I know what you mean, keeping up with my physical therapy is of the upmost importance.
@NicolaHayden that is exactly what I said!, thank the gods i'll be good for autumn and winter releases. it just sucks, my gamefly subscription is pointless for now.
