Best Shoot Em Up Campaigns - PlayStation 4 (PS4) Forum

Hi everyone, I'm a new dad who only gets to play the playstation occasionally these days. I've always loved shoot em ups but don't like the fact that a lot of them are now geared towards playing online with only a short campaign. Got the latest COD recently and had the campaign finished in about 3 hours which I was really disappointed with. The online multiplayer thing really isn't my bag so looking for some recommendations of really good shoot em ups with a long ish campaign that will keep my entertained for longer than 3 hours. Any suggestions?

FPS: Gotta be Doom, it's great - much more action and frenetic than many recent games.
Shoot em up: Raiden V - good vertical scrolling arcade action.

Got to agree titanfall 2 is no.1 for me from the ps4 generation, it's biggest problem is its a bit short but even still its great fun and good story over all.

Honorable mention Doom as well

@themcnoisy Deus Ex and Bioshock wouldn't call into the "shoot em up" FPS category (if such a thing exists!). Arguably Half Life doesn't either I guess.
