Topic: Final Fantasy Versus XII

I was pretty dissapointed with XIV, really wanted to playit with ps3 but pc beta kinda killed it for me. But this makes up for it. Now being a Plasytation 3 exclusive (is it still?), hope they
make it move compatible.
Though, it seems like theyre dropping the turn based combat on this, making it a hack and slash game?

I liked FFXIV for what it was, but I hated listening to the roar of my twin gtx 470 just to play it... I totally plan to play it again when it's out on ps3

Personally, I always wanted a more hack and slash style final fantasy. I liked the combat system of Dysidia but didn't care for the rest of the game. If they could make a FFXIII hack and slash... oh man...

There hasn't been much said about Versus XIII sadly... it seems it's really staying on the hush hush. From what we think know currently, it is a ps3 exclusive still (and I hope it stays that way.. 50gb > 8gb)

It is currently the only PS3 game I genuinely care about that's coming out any time soon. Cannot wait.

And minor nitpick, it should be XIII not XII

This game looks pretty good.

Lol at first I was like: "Final fantasy vs XIII? A fighting game consisting of Final Fantasy characters and organization XIII from Kingdom hearts? That seems interesting."

Man I was waaaaay off haha.

It should be good... that is, if it ever comes out. I've lost all hype for this game after waiting for about 4 years with only a couple of trailers and two screenshots to show for it.

As much as I hate to say it, the next time we see Versus it's going to have to blow away all expectations for a lot of people to sit up and take notice again.

Not long after I said this, Tales of Graces f was announced for the US.

That's a lot of flat-chested girls for one game.

I'll be sitting in my rocking chair by the time this game comes out.

I'm starting to think this is gonna be a case of:

Sony, 2013: 'Time to announce and release the PS4'.
Square: 'Oh bugger. We missed our chance it seems, better redevelop the game for PS4. Add another 3 years to the timetable'.

That won't happen. Even if the PS4 got announced, they'd probably cut their losses and release it for the PS3 with some content cut, then do a PS4 version later on with the rest of the stuff they were planning to include.

...but I just hope the PS4 is a myth until at least 2014...

That was just a worst-case scenario. No wait, worst-case scenario is that Versus never actually releases.
