Topic: Is a camera required to check a faulty headset?

I’ve purchased a used PSVR headset off FB Marketplace with the intent to sell on. I need to check if it’s fully working before I list it but it didn’t come with the camera. Currently, when powered on there’s nothing on the PS VR ‘screens’, but the two lights on the rear of the headset are lit. I’m unable to run setup as the walkthrough requires a camera to complete setup.

So, my question is: should I be seeing ANYTHING on the headset screens at all, even though there’s no camera attached or do they only turn on when the camera is detected?

I believe you will need the camera to run through the setup when you first connect a PSVR to the console.

After that, I think you can get images to appear in the headset without the camera. (For checking purposes, not gaming)

I can't check at the moment to be sure, but I seem to remember watching a 3D Movie without the camera plugged in.
