The Platinum Olympics is a monthly trophy hunting competition, with prizes of course!
The object of the competition is BE THE FIRST TO UNLOCK THE PLATINUM!
how it works?
The competition is once monthly.
The competition ends when the 1st 2nd and 3rd place tiers have been filled. (this should not discourage you from completing the platinum though)
We will post and tweet the game of choice for the month and the prizes about 2 days before the entry phase.
We will post and tweet when the entry phase starts and ends, and when the competition begins, and ends.
only 30 people will be accepted into the competition at one time (for now, until we get used to handling the competition)
there is no special way of choosing the 30 competitors, the first 30 to sign up are the first 30 entered.
with your PSN ID. this is simply so we can enter you on the offical Platinum Olympics PSN account, so we can track your progress and make sure you are eligible for the competition.
if you are accepted you will receive an email telling you so, a list of need to know rules is also available upon request.
the one rule that you absolutely need to know is
IF YOU HAVE EVEN ONE TROPHY FROM THE GAME THAT IS SELECTED FOR THE MONTH, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY INELIGIBLE (or maybe if it's a small trophy you'll start a day late)
Prizes will vary from competition to competition, from games to PSN codes and anything else Playstation.
the first competition prizes will be
1st place: Your choice of one year of playstation plus or a $50 playstation code
2nd place: Your choice of 6 months of playstation plus or a $25 playstation code
3rd place: 1 month of playstation plus or a $10 playstation code
the competition, regrettably, is restricted to NA for now, only until we find a solution for prizes for those that game abroad.
