I like to sleep in the dark, but I play a youtube video to help me sleep. When I start the video, I'll shut the tv off. It used to be that when I shut the tv off, I would hear a weird sound and when I'd turn the tv back on, it would tell me something like it can't detect an input...or something like that, and to check the inputs. I would click OK and then restart youtube and put the video back on. Then, when I turned the tv off, the video would pause for a moment then keep going.

But lately, the video will pause. Instead of turning the tv back on, I'll just click the play button and the video will start up again....except it never starts at where I left off. Let's say that the last time I played the video, I stopped it at 6 hours of play. When the video resumes, it will start playing from the 6 hour mark, and NOT where I rewound it back to.

This is so weird. I tried to look this problem up online and found this...."When you turn off your TV, your PS5 pauses because a communication protocol called HDMI Device Link (HDMI-CEC) tells the console to enter rest mode"

My tv doesn't have this, the PS5 doesn't have this, and the surround receiver doesnt' have this...unless I'm missing it in some menu somewhere.
Any ideas ?
