Topic: Transferring DLCs from disc to digital

Hello,
I'm finally planning on taking the plunge and buying a PS5 but, due to costs, it will be the digital only version. However, I have a slight issue with that.
One of my favourite games is Fallout 4 and I have the GOTY version with all the DLCs. I remember downloading these in addition to installing the disc and I need them to access my old save games with my painstaking work on the settlements. What I want to know is whether or not I will still have access to not just my save games (I can just transfer these, right?) but the DLCs too?
If, for instance, I buy a digital version of Fallout 4, will I keep these or do I have to buy a complete GOTY version again?
Also, do the loading times and general stability improve on a PS5? F4 is a cranky thing.
Thanks for any help.

@Ibsen3 Was there a code in the box with the disk or were the DLC‘s just available when you installed the contents of the disk?

@Ibsen3 I reckon you'll either have to buy the goty edition again digitally for £35, or if you have ps+ fallout standard edition is free so just purchase the add ons separately which will work out a little cheaper possibly.
Or you may get lucky as the post above says if you have a digital code in the box

@Ryall Yes, and I still have the code. Would I be able to reuse it? I was thinking of selling the box off for a small price in one of the exchange shops. I don't know how that might affect other people.

@MatthewJP I don't have PS+. It doesn't appeal to me. I figured I might be able to get a cut-price version of the base game that I'd hoped to be able to supplement using the code. I'd need to know for sure that it would work though. I'm very precious about those settlements. For me, it was the best part of the game. What really sucked was the loading times though.

Thanks for your thoughts, guys.

@Ibsen3 As you use the code for those items are now tied to your account and can be used with a digital version. Make sure you use the same account with PS5 as you did with PS4. Code is a single use, so you don’t need to and can’t reuse it.

The person who buys the box copy off you will essentially only have access to the standard edition.

Thank you for the clarity, Ryall. Case closed.
