A few months ago, there was a problem with my PS4 which made me have to reinstall it, deleting all of my games and saves. Until then, my PS4 was working perfectly, but since that problem, it has been running slow, especially more recently, taking a very long time to load some games (for example, I've been trying to launch Monster Hunter World for about 15 minutes now).

On top of that, in every game im trying to play the audio cuts off, then starts again, but it doesnt even return where it should be, it starts where it stopped creating a very big delay. Sometimes the sound doesnt even start and just plays 5-10 seconds later.
Im getting really mad because the official play station page doesnt help in any way and theres no way to chat or contact them. Right now it feels like i've wasted my money and time in a console that doesnt work.

@Ciss Unfortunately, I hate to be blunt, but that's exactly the case; your console is faulty. It happens. My first ever PS4 had a busted HDD which ran games up to a point, but would then give me similar headaches to the ones you describe. It was a lottery whether it would work or not, and it only got worse over time.

You could try replacing the internal HDD if you really wanted to but, for the time and effort and expense of doing all that, you might as well just buy a new PS4.

Sorry I don't have better news, and this is just my personal experience, so I could be wrong.

@Ciss If I may jump in, further to what Rog mentions, if a new HDD is required they are not that expensive to buy these days and are quite straight forward to replace. There are help guides on the official Sony web pages and YouTube which i followed when i replaced mine and I'm certainly no tech wizard or anything.

@JohnnyShoulder That's what I get for assuming all tech self-repairs are difficult! Scares the heck out of me but, of course, that doesn't mean that it's actually scary. Thanks!

@RogerRoger I only know cos I've done it myself, most others thing I'm the same as you and a bit scared to do it myself!
