Topic: PS5 turning itself on

Does anyone else have the issue of their PS5 turning itself on? Mine has done it 5 times today. I've turned off the HDMI link, turned off remote play and disabled "turn on from network" but it still keeps happening. Any other suggestions? It seems to of been worse since the latest software update

Do you own the media remote? I think I heard about it doing that when the battery is weak.

You could try giving it to me , and ill see whats wrong with it . a couple of months of ''playtesting'' , possibly years , and ill have it ready for you then , friend .

My cats sometimes turn mine on. Not sure why. Either by accident or they're playing Warzone or something.

Not really, but for some reason the disc drive will go mental once every hour or so. Defective, probably.

@BowTiesAreCool Nah, that's normal, it does spin the disc every once in a while for no good reason - unless it's abnormally loud or something.

@BowTiesAreCool @Voltan Mine doesn't seem to do that anymore after one of the updates. Either that or I just got used to it. I never found it to be massively noisy though.

@JohnnyShoulder I think it still does it but not as loud as it used to. Tbh I’m not sure, I kinda stopped noticing it, I guess

Hi Beef, mine has switched on a couple of times accidentally. I have no idea why. No major issue but it has happened to me.

Setting that lets TV turn on PS5. Some link setting over HDMI. Can't remember exactly what it's called. Might be it.
